Battery charger red charging light blinks once then goes out

I have tried both batteries with the same result. The green charger light comes on OK but the red light comes on for a second or two the goes out. Both batteries do the same although the red light stays on longer with one battery than the other, about five seconds for one and fifteen seconds the other. Any help will be greatly apprieciated.

Do the batteries charge? Are they charged? The green indicator normally is the status signal that the battery is charged and the red indicates that the battery needs charging or is charging. If you plug in a charged battery, some chargers will flash red momentarily then go out. This is an indication that the charger checked the battery (red light) and if the charge is good, the red light will go out. I hope this helps you.

SOURCE: battery charger doesn't charge. light blinking

Plug in the charger and then being careful to only touch one contact with one lead use an ohm/voltage meter to check the voltage and see if the charger is putting out any voltage.

The charger is damaged. Return it to the place of purchase and demand a refund or replacement. If you paid by credit card call the credit card company and cancel that transaction.

SOURCE: My battery will not charge. ( Ryobi 18.0v)

Bothights on indicates a problem with the battery. You cam try cleanibg the battery terminal with a Q-tip moistened with alcohol. Allow it to dry completly before tryin to recharge. If that doesn't work the battery may be defective or broken. If it was dropped that could cause the damage.

Light on Segway ninebot charger keeps blinking green.

A blinking green light on a Segway Ninebot charger typically indicates that the charger is properly connected and charging the device, but the battery is not yet fully charged. Once the battery is fully charged, the light should turn solid green. If the light continues to blink green and the battery does not charge, it could be an issue with the charger or the battery. Try using a different charger or testing the charger on another device to see if it is working properly. If the issue persists, contact Segway Ninebot customer service for further assistance.

Why is the green light blinking on the Ryobi charger with the battery in it

My Ryobi 18V One+ charger blinks green while it's charging. When the battery is fully charged, the LED goes to a solid green. However, one battery recently had a faulty cell. After several hours on the charger, the green and red LEDs both were blinking. That indicated that the battery failed late in the charging sequence. It didn't fail the initial testing by the charger. The other battery I charged that day charged fine.

The extended capacity batteries can take 12 hours to charge in my experience. The regular batteries take less time. The charge time will depend on the battery chemistry(The older NiCd batteries take longer to charge then the Lithium batteries.)

I hope this helps. Assuming you aren't dealing with a cold or hot battery or charging environment, if you have any suspicion about a faulty battery, replace it.

Cindy Wells
(Note: I have a 12V drill as well. Those batteries takes longer to charge for the same relative capacity than the 18V NiCd batteries.)

Charger not working

When the red light is on it is to indicate that the charger is getting power from the wall outlet. If there is a second light that normally comes on Green when charging pay close attention to it when you first plug the charger in. See if it blinks even once then turns off. If it does that means the charger is not seeing any battery voltage at the plug that goes into the chair. If the green light does not blink at all then it usually means the charger is defective. Also most wheelchair battery chargers will not charge the batteries if the chair is to dead to even turn on.

NOT CHARGING BATTERIES

ok you need to zap the battery, if you have a jump box or a battery charger that has at least a 20 amp or better charge selection, like a engine start feature.

the post of the cordless batter has a center post marked on the sides is a plus or minus sign.
the should also be some vertical slits in the plastic post on the corners, clamp the leads from the jump box or battery charger positive to positive , negative to negative. with the car battery charger you can probably slip one side of the battery clip in the plastic slot the other on the connection blade. plug in the battery charger and let it on for 5 or 6 minutes. if the battery charger has a auto shutoff the light will blink off and on but that is ok .

take the cables off and plug into the battery pack charger now you should get a red charge light and now can charge the battery.

if light does not come on try it in the drill or saw and see if you had any more charge than before if so you might need to repeat the procedure and leave it on the car battery charger a little longer

Ryobi lithium batteries won't take charge

For others with the same problem (flashing red light won't go off)...make sure you FIRMLY PUSH the battery down onto the charger and engage the latches. Simply resting the battery on the charger will not work.

Charger red lite flashing. Camera comes on for one second and shuts off

Hello,
Here's a copy from the owners manual:
■ Charging LED
Red LED is on = Being charged
Red LED is blinking = Charging error
Green LED is on = Carging is complete

● If the charge indicator blinks as red, it indicates a battery charging error.
- The battery is not properly inserted
- The terminals of battery are dirty or damaged
If the battery is inserted properly and the charge indicator continues to blink, contact the
nearest Samsung Camera Service Center.

Another charging error is when the batteries are so depleted, they won't charge up to 100% anymore = red light doesn't go out and remains on for too long, means get a new battery.

Battery will not hold a charge.

Casio says:

Red blinking light = defective battery

No flashing light = possible defective charger.

What you can do is send all your stuff into casio and they will test everything for you and see what they could replace for you.
