Check the belt to see if it has snapped or come off, alternatively, if the appliance is between 3-5 years old it might be worth checking the brushes on the motor unfortunately in the UK we do not have this model

Bernina Activa 130 won't turn on but has power and makes faint clicking sound

Based on the symptoms you have described, it's possible that there may be an issue with the power switch, the motor, or the circuit board of your Bernina Activa 130 sewing machine.
Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the power cord and connections: Ensure that the power cord is securely plugged into the machine and the outlet. Check for any frayed or damaged wires in the power cord or connections, as this could cause the machine to not turn on.
  2. Check the power switch: Inspect the power switch for any damage or debris that may be preventing it from functioning correctly. You can also try pressing and holding the power switch for a few seconds to see if it turns on the machine.
  3. Check the motor: If the motor is not functioning correctly, it may prevent the machine from turning on. Try turning the handwheel manually to see if it turns smoothly. If it doesn't, the motor may be the issue.
  4. Check the circuit board: A faulty circuit board can also cause the machine to not turn on. If you're comfortable with electronics, you can try inspecting the circuit board for any visible damage or loose connections. However, if you're not familiar with electronics, it's best to take the machine to a qualified technician for repair.
If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it's best to take your sewing machine to a qualified technician or a Bernina service center for further diagnosis and repair.

Fisher and Paykel WA1068G1 totally dead.

If your Fisher and Paykel WA1068G1 washing machine is completely dead, it could be caused by a few different issues. Some possible causes include:
  1. Power supply issue: Check to make sure that the washing machine is properly plugged in and that the outlet is functioning properly. Also, check the circuit breaker or fuse box to see if a circuit breaker has tripped or a fuse has blown.
  2. Control board issue: The control board of the washing machine controls all the functions of the machine. If the control board is faulty, the machine will not turn on.
  3. Faulty door lock: The door lock is an important safety feature that prevents the door from opening while the machine is running. If the door lock is faulty, the machine will not turn on.
  4. Motor problem: The motor is what powers the washing machine's drum. If the motor is not working, the machine will not turn on.
It's best to consult the manual or a professional technician to diagnose the problem and recommend the appropriate course of action. Sometimes, the problem can be solved by resetting the machine or replacing a part, but in some cases the machine may need to be replaced.

Dear Sir, The following machine needs a push to turn . If not, it doesn't operate. is it from the drive motor or belt? thank you

Sound like the motor to me. If the belt is turning the drum after you rotate it to start it then the belt is functioning at this point.

The drum does not revolve when washing or drying. The machine seems to go through the rest of the functions ok - filling, heating and emptying.

Turn off the mains power or at the breaker. remove the back of the machine. Check the drive belt, tension arm and motor from the rear of the machine an drelace as necessary. If your unit has a direct drive system and no drive belt then the motor or motor movement sensor are most likely to be at fault.

The drum doesn't turn or spin. There is power and the machine fills up and drains.

Good morning! possibly the motor of the washing machine is defective. please check the motor operation when you turn on the machine & set the timer switch on, which the motor should function. bst regards.

SpeedQueen washer trouble

You could have a couple problems, it could be the timer, motor or Transmission.

Start by removing unplugging the washer,

Now remove the front panel, two 5/16" screws at the bottom of the front panel. the front panel will either drop off or you have to turn it up to remove it

In the front on the bottom is the motor, on the bottom of the motor is the belt. This belt drives the pulley on the bottom of the transmission. It should turn both directions. in one direction the transmission will ramp up and unlock the brakes letting the unit spin. The other direction the transmission will cause the agitator to turn back and forth. you may need two people one to watcht the agitator and one to turn the belt, Now if the transmission does not turn at all you have what is known as a locked transmission. This is a major expense. Look for a new machine.

If the machine does actually agitate and spin when you move the pulley it could be as simple as a motor or timer. Please let me know what you find and we can go further.

Washer spins agitates, but will not drain

Possible your outlet filter is blocked; find out where it is from your manual, clean it out and re-fit. Also try the spin only function to see if it drains.
