Volume does not adjust, when pressing the volume button up or down, jabra bluetooth tells me the status of the battery, but won't adjust the volume up or down

I just got mine and had the same problem. After messing with it for a bit I got it to work. The trick is you must have audio of some kind playing through the jabra when using the volume button. I started some music playing and then tried the button and it worked. But if it is idle you just get the battery status.

Music player through my bluetooth

Hi Mike Cronk,

I see that you have a Bluetooth Headset and that you are tryingto connect it to your BB.

You mentioned it will not play or you cannot hear Audio From it from your BB?

Did the Bluetooth Headset sync to your BB? you need to make sure that the headset is sync properly on your BB and that the BB is dectecting your Bluetooth Headset. make sure that the BB is also set to be detected by any device for the Bluetooth to detect your BB as well for proper syncing of both devices.

try your Bluetooth headset on another devices as well see if it will sync to a different device just to see if the Bluetooth headset is working fine.

I hope this helps,

Were to find fm radio and does it rely on internet for said service. Thanks Nigel

FM radio in the Defy comes bundled in the music player. Firstly, connect the wired headset, because it will act both for listening to the FM radio, and as as the FM antenna itself. Ok, either go to its icon, (in the 6th home screen), or go to 'Start (the circle in all the home screens) > Music'. Then, if the last music you played comes up, press 'Menu > Music Home'.
Before you click on 'Radio', on the home screen, if you are worried about data usage, be warned that it will occur if you want lyrics to be shown as music is being played. If you want that feature, but don't want to use your carrier's data plan, you can turn your phone's Wi-Fi on, and connect to either your home network or a plublic access point. If you need further informations on how to do it, please, let me know. To turn this feature off, go to 'Menu > Settings > Display lyrics' and make sure that 'Show lyrics in player' is unchecked. Press the back button, then 'Data Usage', where you'll find checkboxes for 'Download song data' and 'WiFi only purchasing'. Set them accordingly. Press the back button twice, then 'Radio'. You are now listening to the FM tuner. After finishing, press the back button until you reach any of the home screens.
You'll notice that the embedded FM player is able to play sound on the wired headset only. It this is if fine for you, we're done here. Neverteless, this standalone application (many thanks to yipyipyip) doesn't even require that the wired headset be plugged in, at all. If you are not subscribed to xda-devs, do it. Download link in the first post. Download it and copy it to anywhere on your phone (e.g. sdcard). Then, go to 'Menu > Settings Applications', and make sure that 'Unknown sources' is checked. Press the back button twice to finish. Now, go to 'Start > File Manager > Memory card', and navigate to the apk file you have downloaded. Click over it, and you will be prompted to install it. Then, go to 'Start > FM radio' and have fun!

I loose BT connection after one song

Does the motorola headset make decending tones when it disconnects? If it does, you are listening to your music using the Headset bluetooth profile rather than the High quality audio one. You will need to change the way the device is paired to the phone. Try pairing it as bluetooth headphones or bluetooth high quality audio, rather than a bluetooth headset. Once you have done that, you can pair it as a bluetooth headset too, as the motorola headset connects to 2 bluetooth devices, or in this case, one device, with two profiles. To use the headset profile, press the left M symbol once, and the headset will play a sound to indicate connection as a headset. If you press it again, it will revert to High Quality Audio profile, and you can listen to your music, and even skip/pause it!
