I am guessing that you are attempting to use a non supervisor level password. There is usually a facility to set both a user (restricted function) password and a setup password (administrator rights access). You may need to reset the passwords within the bios setup.

F11 key, (the magic key) on older HP its F10 older still (none)
what year PC is this, full model number , type it out full off the service tag.... i cant guess omni this is. there are 29 models and subs.

The newer HP systems, all have this F11 key
this is the magic key as you boot, you hit it fast (tap tap tap)
and it goes in to recover mode. My 2006 Laptop does.
the HDD if still working and corrupted,
will run the virtual installer disk, via a hidden partition on said HDD>
if that is confusing, try to imagine 3 ways to install.

F11
HP recover disk called the media kit. (uses on replace HDD )
MS disks, wrong, and will fail., ask how if must,,,,

Hi when i satrt up my hp compaq mini 110 it wont load past the bios. it comes up with the options for F9: change boot device order, F10:BIOS setup options, F12: Network boot. if i leave it to laod past...

Check to see if any media is in you CD DRIVE, or any other drive because if BIOS is booting from the CD or other media first, it never gets to your hard drive thus never boots windows. If clear, Press F9 and enter into your BIOS setup. You will have to make sure your boot sequence/order is in order to boot first from the hard drive. If all is in order try F8 hitting it repeatedly until safe mode options appear. If this doesn't work post a reply and we'll go from there.

Purchased an external hard drive for backup. When

When you first turn your computer on, during the first few seconds the screen should give you information about what is happening, AND it should tell you to press the delete key in order to get to the bios settings. Do that (press the key several times to make sure you get there). Once you get to the bios settings find the ones that control the boot disc (usually you will see 1st boot and 2nd boot, and each will allow several possibilities, including floppy boot, if you have one, as well as cd or dvd boot, etc.) Make sure your hard disk is selected as your first boot choice, then save the selection and reboot.
I think this will work for you.

I have LG E500 and I want to instal XP. I cant make changes in bios like boot sequence, so I cant boot from cd and therefor I cant instal XP. What should I do?

I don't recommend downgrading your laptop from Vista to XP but...

According to manual, pressing F2 during boot sequence takes you to BIOS and then you can change
the order of the boot sequence in the BIOS. From the manual:

"...set passwords, change the booting order, and add new peripheral devices to the machine."

If you can't find boot sequence in BIOS setup, talk to a support rep online:

You may need to use a different server if not in CA.

PXE-E61 Media test failure check cable my note book is asus f3f and when this massage appear i cant connect to internet.

That message is when you have your computer set to network boot. You can disable it in the bios or change the boot order to put network after hard drive. Press probably Delete when booting to get into your bios and look for Boot Order.
