SOURCE: NTLDR is missing Press Ctrl Alt Del to restart

In my experience, NTLDR is usually caused by a failing hard drive, however sometimes other factors are at fault.

There are various fixes for the different operating systems that Microsoft offers. Since you don't state your operating system I'd say start here and read.

NTLDR is missing Press Ctrl Alt Del to restart

The issue is your system is not loading off of the boot drive- check for usb keys, floppies, even sometimes cds can cause the issue. If that does not work, you'll need to get your copy of windows, boot to that disk, and run a chkdsk /r in the repair option. If that does not work, you will need to reinstall Windows.

Ntldr is missing.... when i start my computer, it only shows NTLDR is missing press ctrl+Alt+Del to restart (this is on windows XP) please help... thanks

First check to see if you have a floppy disk in your floppy drive, if so remove it.
Second check if you have a CD disk in the CD/DVD drive, if so remove it.
If there are no disc in the drives, then the ntldr file is missing or corrupted and needs to be replaced. Please follow these instructions :-

I get ntldr is missing on my netbook, help in simpliest of terms

Hi,
Pressing Ctrl, Alt and Del just restarts the computer.
"ntldr" is a windows boot file which has become corrupt and unreadable causing the computer to loop on boot up.
As far as i know that laptop does not have a CD/DVD drive so you can't fix the problem unless you have a external CD/DVD drive and a recovery CD.
Is the netbook still under warranty? If so take advantage of that and send it in for Acer to deal with.
If not you will need a recovery CD or Windows install disk, an external hard drive and some patience.
If you need anymore help or advice please post back.

Good luck.
