Kp51ws500 color flickering

This set started fading blue, coming back, fading coming back, then straightening up. Highly intermittant. When it does this I turn tv off then back on, and the picture is right again for a couple minutes, then starts to flicker again. Any Ideas?

I'm afraid I don't have good news. This is known as the "Flicker Issue." As a Sony authorized servicer, the shop I worked for was directed to replace all three of the CRT's in the limited number of sets that experienced this issue. The cost per tube is typically around $200. If you decide to take this on, it is best to replace one CRT at a time, power up the set and do the yoke adjustments and electrical alignments to get the new color to line up with the existing ones.

Lg flatron w1943tb color fades in and out to a blue green

Follow the following solutions, this should fix up your trouble
1. Turn yourmonitor on. It should be on for at least 20 minutes before you continue.
2.Press the"Auto/Select" button on the front of your computer's monitor. Thescreen will be wavy while the adjustment happens. When the screen stops beingwavy, the faded colors should no longer be visible.
Follow steps 1 and 2 if you do not have a disk for the monitor.

17 yr. old 35" RCA loses color intermittently. Picture & sound ok

Three guns Red Blue and Green in the picture tube of an old CRT set. If one of the guns goes out it effects that color. Sounds like one of the guns inside of the tube is going out, To costly to replace for such an old antilog set that will have to have a convertor box next month anyway.

KP51ws500 turns green and shuts itslelf off

There may be several causes but, one is that when any color gun is being over driven, the Sony shuts down the gun to protect it. Try this. Remove the front of the set by removing the two screws from each lower corner. Next remove the black panel held on by 5 or 6 screws. Now you should see a panel with 6 potentiometers on it. Turning the ones on the bottom row CCW reduces the drive. Turn the color down and if all the guns stay lit, SLOWLY turn them up until you get the color balance that you like.
