Streaky dirty washing

The machine appears to be washing fine but when I get the washing out some items have dirty marks . they almost appear like they have been lying creased in a pool of dirty water . Imagine screwing a clean white cloth up and dipping in light mud and then opening it up. It ruins the clothes as although the stain lightens after further washes it never disappears completely. I don't overload the machine and this happens every 5 to 10 washes rather than every time. Cleaned out the drawer and pump but can't find any fluff filter so Help!

Try running some cleaner through the machine on a hot 60-90 degree wash cycle with no clothes in. It may take a few goes to remove the build up of soapscum from the inner drum of the appliance

SOURCE: dirty washing

what this could be is your bearings check if there is any amount of movement from the drum by opening the door place your palm onto the front of the washer so its on the bodypart of the washer now place your fingers into the washer facing down so you can grab the drum with them now pull up and if there is any movement then its confirmed bearings need replacing m8 get the warranty company out its a big job some companys just replace the washer m8.It will be the bearings though what those black marks are is the grease out of the bearings cause the seal has gone ive done hundreds of bearing jobs let me know how u go on m8

I have been getting brown stains in the shape of a line on items of clothing washed in my Whirlpool duet washer. I can not get these stains out with anything and they are ruining numerous items of clothing. I have no idea what is causing them - I have manually cleaned the inside of the washer. same thing here. I have been having this problem for a few weeks, cant wash anything white without ruining it.

SOURCE: smell coming from washing machine

IMPORTANT: Read thoroughly. DO NOT add detergent or other laundry products to this cycle.
1. Remove all items from the washer.
2. Open the dispenser drawer and 2/3 cup (160 mL) of liquid chlorine bleach to the bleach compartment. DO NOT use more than 2/3 cup (160mL) of bleach per cycle as this will lead to product damage.
3. Close the washer door and dispenser drawer.
4. Select the Clean Washer cycle or a full wash cotton 104 F wash (40 C). DO NOT use any higher temperature as this will cause unnecessary fumes
5. Press Start and allow cycle to complete.
6. If the bad odour persists, repeat the procedure 1 or 2 more times. This may be necessary if this is the first time you have run this cycle.
7. After the cycle is complete, leave the door open slightly to allow ventilation and drying of the washer interior.
8. Repeat the cleaning procedure monthly.
To maintain the washer freshness:
1. Use only HE High Efficiency detergent.
2. Leave the door open after each cycle to for better ventilation and drying of the washer interior.
3. Use warm / hot water in your machine unless the fabric you are washing requires cold.
4. Use the correct amount of fabric softener.
5. If your laundry room is damp, use a dehumidifier.
6. Clean the door seal of visible residue.

SOURCE: My Washing machine stains clothes;

I had the same problem, and it turns out that it is NOT the seal. It is the liquid fabric softener. The fabric softener dispenser needs to be cleaned periodically or it gets a black waxy, goopy, build up. It is this same buildup that ends up staining your clothes with dark brown or black stains. Just remove the dispenser and wash it our very well and the problem will be gone.

Washing covered in dirty marks

It sounds as if a bearing seal was defective when it left the factory and is allowing lubricant to bleed out; I would consider this a warranty item and if the company doesn't care to make it right, file a complaint with the local BBB relating to the dealer where you bought it and nationally against the company itself.
Maybe they don't want this stain on their reputation but this is another reason to avoid US manufacturers.

Last load of washing has lots of black dirty marks on them

It would appear that the drum seal and bearings have failed. If you have been doing constant cold water washing and using fabric softener and the machine is over 5 years old, I would say its time for a new machine. There are not many that last past 5 years any more especially with cold water and fabric softener usage. Bearing and seal replacement can be very expensive. The drum shaft (Spider assembly) will probably need changing as well.

Rust marks left on laundry

This is a weird one, the marks have got to be coming from somewhere, if you are still under your first year of owning it go back to the shop where you purchased it, Its been a while since i looked into this but i think you may still be covered under the sale of goods act or something similar.
if you are now outwith the year keep on calling the engineer out, if you call them out within a month of each visit it counts as a recall and not a seporate visit, after a few recalls they will take notice, alternativley ask for a team leader/ supervisor to visit not an engineer. the best thing to clean out a machine is a boil wash with an old towel and some poweder (the 90 degree wash will bring out the bleach in the poweder and clean the machine internally)

Streaky copies

It probably has several issues - optics dirty, and drum, and blade failing. I would also imagine that even the Solid "blacks" aren't as black as they could be, and that would be the developer. This machine is in the 17 year old range, and I wouldn't spend dime on it

Streaky smudges vertically down middle third of each page

NOPE - don't even try to do this - Replace the entire fuser, these have a film roller and it's not worth trying to rebuilt - replace the fuser and you should be fine, To take the top off is a pain , the fuser sits on top of this Printer so it's difficult- either call a Color Printer tech or buy a rebuilt fuser , I wish i could give you our company info, however, i been informed not too Sorry , fixya.com rules not mine.

The Teflon is probably worn off of your fuser rollers.
