I have a hp proliant ml 150, running windows 2003, the problem is that some files are corrupt and i want to repair 2003 but the drives are not detected as having RAID configured in SATA drives. when i disable sata(native mode) the drives are detected but the installation drive is not found as configured under raid. now what should i do???
Go to the HP website and download the latest version of SmartStart for your server. Burn a disk and boot from it. Open up the Insight Diagnostics option and snoop into the storage end of things. Most likely you have a bad hard drive; hopefully not two as you wuuld then be in very bad shape.
You can use the disk that came with your computer but it's probably way out of date by now and the download is free.
After you get things fixed up, be sure to install SIM and configure notifications so you'll get(in most cases) pre-failure notifications. Again, this is free.
Attach an external hard disc and put all your data in it. If the PC came with this OS then hp must have given a rescue disc, use that to boot and follow the instructions on the screen.........sodeep
