Unable to use new h500 headset

The H500 is a monaural headset, thus good for phone calls only, not for listening to stereo music. You haven't specified which Motorola phone you own. Check in its user guide if it is able to handle stereo bluetooth headsets (i.e. if it bears the A2DP and AVRCP bluetooth profiles), which are suitable for music streams. If your phone is able to handle them, go to the mall (or store, or even online), buy one set which suits you better, pair them with your phone and enjoy!
Just my 2 cents... Carlos

My h500 connects to my ps3 but no one can hear me

On the H500 - press both volume buttons at the same time and hold until you hear two descending tones to ensure mute is disabled. Also double click the volume control on your computer to open the volume controls and make sure the microphone channel isn't muted.

I can hear sounds that it's ringing and on--but no caller.

Is it in mute mode?

Other person cannot hear me talk if they are talking

This is a common problem with speaker phones as well since they (as is your headset) forced to switch back and forth so microphone and 'speaker' are not on at the same time to prevent feedback. The squeal from feedback would be far more irritating. Your previous phone in conjunction with your headset were simply (and accidentally) a better combination.

Blue tooth not transmitting to caller

Did you check that you didn't by mistake activate mute? Also, check that there is nothing obstructing the microphone hole on the headset.
If it is indeed on mute. Press both volume buttons at the same time you will hear two descending audio tones.

H500 bluetooth headset

Turn down the volume on the PHONE, not the headset. Motorola 325i w/ H500. Again, turn down the volume on the PHONE, not the headset. In my case almost all the way down.
