Ethernet controller i installed windows xp in my computer aspire 3690 but i can`t find the ehernet controller, i download all the drivers in the acer page but anyone works on it
Go to acer and dowmload the drivers youve put xp on a vista machine.but you still require the vista drivers not xp ..and the acer drivers..then your pc will work.i had done the same thing

There are multiple LAN drivers available for that model from Acer. Make sure you download all of them for the specific OS and try each one. I note that the only operating systems they have drivers for are Windows XP 32bit, XP MCE 32bit and Vista 32bit. Make sure to also download and install the chipset driver.
Visit Acer Official Support for Acer Aspire 3690 Notebook. All Drivers are available here for Windows XP. Download the correct drivers according to the Ethernet/LAN Card you have in your PC.

you can install sound drivers from the driver CD supplied with computer, if it is not available download the drivers from the acer web site under drivers and support section
You will find them on this page. Looks like there are 3 different drivers. Download eac and install them one at a time to see which is the correct one. Click on the down arrow of the "driver and Utility " box http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/notebook/as_3690.html
