When I turn on the Micro BR, it turns on normally, but then it flashes a message saying "NO CARD!" when there is one in it. I've used that SD card before, and have tried others that have been properly formatted/ cleared. I assume it has something to do with the SD card reader, as everything else seems to work fine..Except for the fact that I cant really do much with it (record or view my old unfinished recording that was on the SD card)

I had the same issue, and ended up solving it after trying many different things. So first you put the card in your reader, right click, and hit "format...". It should ask you if it's ok to erase everything. Say yes.
Then put the card in the recorder, and it should say "Unformatted". Hit Utility and TR4 to Initialize. That should do the trick. Hope that helps!

Inspect the card connector for BROKEN off pins or damage to the connector where the card goes. Not sure what type card this takes, but pins that get pushed back in on CF cards are NOT that uncommon, especially if card has had an attempt to put in backwards.
Beyond that I am afraid the cause would be unknown.
You MIGHT try formatting a new card... If it won't go, something in the interface has gone bad.

Mine is doing the same thing- with a Scandisc card- plus, the unit has never been used.

Chances are you need a driver in your PC compatible with Vista. There are MANY compatibility problems with Vista and special devices such as the Micro Br.

Moost of these will only use a max card of 2Gb. There are some conversion programs. There was a lot of discussion at one time on Vsplanet dot com about these units if the site is still active.
