Wont start now, idled last year but died when throttled up.

99 yamaha waverunner xl750. In 2007 it ran out of gas on the lake. Filled it with gas and put it on the lake 1 month later and it started ran good for about ten minutes slowly started sputtering then just idled and died off when throttled up. It would start but sounded jumpy and you could feather the throttle back and forth to get it going a little, but to much it would just die, stored it away and am tring to get it going now it just wont start

Sounds like you blew some junk up into the carbs or injectors whatever the casse maybe. if you can try to blow some air through system or get a good cleaner and run it through the system, if its not too bad that should take care of it. These dont like running out of gas, try not to do so in the future. 1 more thing, sometimes a blast or two of ether will help also. Good luck

2004 waverunner fx cruiser, ran great last time out. Now hard to start and wont run on high speed. Nothing over 6 mph.

How old is the fuel? Ethanol causes major problems if left too long. You may need to empty the fuel and clean out the fuel system. Try changing the fuel filter and adding some seafoam to the fuel and running seafoam thru the fuel system. Hopoe this helps.

L stands for limp mode
it is a mode that the ECM selects to prevent serious damage to the engine ( from you lack of oil )

2006 yamaha waverunner wont idle

what is it idle at? how much? remove your seat check air filter if is black oily remove it and see if that fixes your problem you may want to change your spark plugs as well # one cylinder may be starting to foul the new yamahas are the worst for fouling plugs use a cr8eb instead of the cr9eb the 8s are hotter and work better try those and let me know thank you
