SOURCE: error code F-05 water not leaving washing machine

F05 flashes due to electric oven control failure. The solution is to replace the electronic oven control (also called EOC or clock).

SOURCE: error f05

Check that water is draining out o/k and that the outlet hose is not kinked or restricted.
Make sure pump is o/k.
if it has a removable filter at the front, then remove and clean.
If no exterior filter, then remove rear panel of waher, locate pump at bottom right of m/c. undo the clip that secures the large black hose to the bottom of tub, and remove the hose.
Remove and clean plastic filter inside the hose.
Refit and make sure the hose is on properly, test for leaks.
Hopefully, this will solve the prob.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

SOURCE: Hotpoint WF840 W machine still full of water error code F 05.

Do the following.

  1. Switch off the machine and disconnect the mains power.
  2. Remove the access panel on the lower right front of the machine.
3. Remove the filter and make sure that the filter is not blocked and is clean and clear of all debris. Clean as required. Note that depending on the machine type you may get a lot of water coming out of the filter when you remove it if the machine has not drained successfully. Note that if the machine has stopped and not fully drained then you may be able to drain out the excess water by removing or disconnecting the waste hose and laying it on the ground in a tray. It may take a few minutes to empty but it will save a small flood.
4. Proceed by checking the drain hose for proper connection and kinks and make sure that it is not blocked.
5. Also check that the main waste drain pipe, if you use one, is not blocked and clean if required.
6. Reconnect the power and switch the machine on.
If the problem persists then do the following.
7. Switch off the machine and disconnect the mains power.
8. Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure it is operational.
9. Remove the connecting hoses, and expect water to drain out and make sure the pipes are not blocked with debris or any object blockage.
10. Makes sure the pump appears clear and that the impeller looks in good condition.
11. Reconnect the hoses and then reconnect power and switch the machine on.
12. If problem has not been corrected, then remove the pump and check that the drive coupling to the motor is OK and that the motor turns OK. If all is well then replace the pump.

How to fix f-05 error

Error F05 on some Hotpoint washing machines means the pressure switch has "jammed" on, so the machine thinks it's full of water and refuses to spin. It may indeed be full of water - but not necessarily.
This error code is used on some Indesit washing machines too
Before a washing machine spins the laundry it needs a signal that the water has pumped away successfully so it knows that it's safe to spin. This error indicates that for various possible reasons it's not getting that signal.
This can be caused by a pump fault or blockage in the filter, but if this is the case then clearly when the fault occurs it should be stuck full of water or at least still have a fair amount inside.

Error code F05 means pressure switch jammed on full
Remove lower rear cover of washer.
Remove large black hose on bottom of tub.
Remove and clean filter inside hose.
Remove hose onto pump, and check for blockage or obstrucrtion here as well.
This should solve the problem.

Error code fo5

f05 is normally a fault cause by the pressure switch - often caused by a blockage in the exit hose of the washer. if the water cannot leave the washer in time the f05 will come up because the pressure switch has not told the machine it empty. on hotpoints there is a filter inside the exit pipe from the drum to the pump which gets blocked up. need to remove and clear out the sump assembly and this normally fixes the f05 error. if this does not cure the issue then the pressure switch is probably faulty but its notmally just a blocked pipe.
