Safe mode in lennovo g500 - Lenovo Essential G500 Laptop Computer - 59372006 - Black

1. Remove the battery and any other peripheral device connected to the computer.
2. Hold the power button for 10-15 seconds and then connect only the AC Adapter and try to turn ON the computer.

If that does not work it it possibly a faulty DVD rom. if you remove it the computer may boot back up normal.Very common issue on these.

Those units have a special reset procedure when this happens. The keys to hit are in the manual. Check it out

Connect to external usb keyboard to check. If works ok, your keyboard is defective and you should change it.

just means the update didnt work,restart in safe mode and delete updates or reset to an earlier configuration by restarting and pressing f8 continuosly while it reboots

Repeatedly press left/right on the selector to bring up the self-timer mode (one-handed clock). Start the self-timer by pressing the shutter release button.

There may be a short in the wires. That's what happened to my speakers and i just had to buy new speakers.
