does it have a separate drain pump? when you look under it, is the drain line connected at front right corner of pump housing?there is a check housing in the tube that the drain hose connects to. it unscrews and has narrow opening on threaded end..may be blocked there.

HI Nick- the element in the dishwasher dries the dishes and sometimes boosts the heat of the water. Your water should come in already hot, so the problem is either your hot water heater or that the plumbing line was switched to cold by mistake. Or that people are bathing, laundering, etc. and using all available hot water right before you run the dishwasher.

if the bottom tub is filling with water but not washing the issues is with the wash motor, some of this model use a start capacitor that can fail, if it has a capacitor on the side of the motor it may have failed but are difficult to diagnose but are cheap to replace so worth trying, if this doesn't help or if it doesn't have a capacitor then the fault is with the wash motor.
