Setting date day change on j. crew timex andros watch

To set the time and date on your Timex Indiglo watch with a CR2016 battery, follow these steps:

1. Press and hold the stem (the button on the side of the watch) until the display begins to flash.
2. Use the stem to cycle through the different settings: time, day, date, and year.
3. When you reach the setting you want to change, use the stem to adjust the value.
4. Once you have set the time, day, date, and year to the correct values, press the stem to exit the setting mode.

When you pull the stem out all the way (two clicks) it should set the time. Pulling the stem out one click you noticed sets the date, you turn it one way for the date and in the same postion you turn it the other way for the day. For some reason on some watches the day will stick, if that still happens you will need to turn the hands around and around until you get to the right day, then keeping in mind the 12 hour interval you are in... set the date and time. If the day still does not change then you need to return the watch if its new or send it to timex! Caution: when sending a watch to Timex sometimes they send back a different watch without asking so if its sentimental do NOT send it to Timex!! Hope this helps! have a great day!

This is because you have reversed am with pm.
Set your watch 12 hours back and the problem should be solved.
You might want to wait till midnight or noon to check it's fine.

Note: if you see the day shows the previous day rather than the present day, you have to set the clock 24h ahead.

Mcdevito75 here, The stem on your Timex shou;ld have two (2) positions, slip a finger nail just under the crown and gently lift to the first position, it may take a little practice to get but you will. In this first position you"ll see by turning the crown one way you can change the date (number) and turning in the other direction you can change the month or day, if so, set the day and date to one (1) day before the day and date you want. Push the stem back in and lift the stem all the way to set the time of day, now cycle thru the watches 24 hours to set the day and date you want. Your Timex is now set and will change at the proper time of around midnite. If your Timex has the month and day you may have to cycle the 24 hours to reach the correct month other than that these instructions should help.

mcdevito75 here, Sounds like part of the mechanism has broken in your Timex watch, and, if so too repair it may cost twice a new Timex watch, chances are this is why watch shops have told you to return the watch to Timex, and without a warrantee, even timex will charge for the repair. Ask the watch repair shop straight out if it pays to repair your watch, chances are no. Also you can try to contact Timex online at Timex watch.com or by phone.

mcdevito75 here, Your watch (Timex) may have a 2 position stem. Push the stem (winder) all the way in, NOW just lift the stem a little to it:s first position, this should allow the date, (number ) to change, change that number to the date before the date you want, NOW pull the stem out to set the hands, rotate the hands to set proper date and time.

Usually, with crown pulled out to first position, turning the crown in one direction will change the day and the other direction will change the date.
If this does not work try moving the hands to different positions then attempt to adjust the day/date.
If this does not work, there are some models that just don't have a way to set the day short of turning the crown 1000 times cycling through the days manually and blistering your fingers.

HERE IS STEPS FOR SETTING OF YOUR WATCH... STEP3 EXPLAINS THE SETTING OF DAY,DATE.....

Step 1 Push in the lower right button until you see the seconds flash. Press the upper right button to run the seconds display down to zero. Push the bottom left button to get into the mode to set the hours. Press the top right button to scroll through the numbers. Watch that you choose a.m. or p.m. correctly.

Step 2 Press the bottom left button to get into the mode to set the minutes. Again, push the top right button to scroll through the numbers until you reach the correct time.

Step 3 Repeat the process from Step 2 four times to set the month, date and day of the week and to change to military time if you wish. Push the bottom right button to save your settings. You'll notice the colon between the numbers will start to flash.

The trick is to turn the ring to the "Date" setting, Pull the stem out once for the Month and Date. Pull the stem out (hard, but gently) a second time for the Day of the week. Each pull will be confirmed by a 'beep. Be persistent and good luck.
