I need a replacement lid for my GE 3 Quart Oval Slow Cooker -- Model #106784. I would appreciate if you can help!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks, Alice

Alice, I don't know if you found a replacement yet. I just broke my insert and for the 106784T model. If you want the lid, I would just have you pay for shipping!!! Let me know.

I broke the rubber band for my 4.5 quart over crockpot. Does anyone sella replacement? The rubberband is used to secure the lid when transporting the crockpot.

Marbeck.com has lids and the latch band... It is hamilton beach, but it will work for nearly all crocks.

I need an oval crock pot lid that fits a GE cooker Model #168945 sold by Walmart Stores.

I am not sure if you will find it because it was being recalled. See http://www.cpsc.gov/ and search on the model number. You can return it to Walmat for a full refund and buy yourself a new one.

Need new handle for GE 4.5 qt. oval slow cooker #106661

There are two ways of replacing this product. Either call the number that "hmhmh" gave which is 888-293-3343. Or to make it easier bring it to WalMart.

I think it's easier to replace it at Walmart..because if you deal wth the dealer you're going to pay for shipping. No..you don't have to send the whole pot back. You're just going to need to cut off the the plug and mail it in.

So that is why I think it makes more since to bring it to Wally. It's easier and free. I went to the customer service and told them about the 2005 recall. I had no recipt and the crocpot for sure looked used. They told me that I could pick any of them out that are $30 or less.

So now I have a brand new machine. WooHoo!!

Good luck all

PS/If you DO decide to go with the dealer..then mke sure you have the model and serial number (which are both under the pot).

Oval Crockpot Lid

I replaced my lid handle for the top of this crock pot by going to the hardware store and buying a wooden knob with a center screw.

Lid Knob

Just called the number (found on the web) for the Wal Mart Model 106661 of this and they are sending me a form to replace the base (with the heating element in it). Also have the same problem with the lid handle. Asked them about getting a new handle and they said I could order an entire new lid. A ceramic cabinet knob with the SS screw and washers sounds like a better solution then buying a new lid. Info date 1/21/08

6 qt. slow cooker.

FYI, the recall is not for the 169143 model:

"The recalled slow cookers include the 4.5-Quart Oval and 6-Quart Double Dish models sold under the General Electric (GE) brand name. The model name is printed on the front of the units. The 4.5-quart unit has model number 106661 and the 6-quart unit has model number 106851. Both models have series codes A through D, which are printed on the bottom along with the model number. The base of the slow cookers is white with an olive or honeysuckle graphic."

I too, have the 169143 model. In fact, I just received it for Christmas. I loaned it out and the glass lid broke. I just got off the phone with the division of GE that handles the Walmart products (these slow cookers were made specifically for Walmart), and unfortunately, we are out of luck. You cannot get replacement parts (including lids) for the slow cookers made exclusively for Walmart. The only option is to buy a whole new slow cooker. Grrrr! So much for a 3-month old slow cooker that is now useless. If it was any other shape than rectangle I would just retrofit with a different brand lid, but those rectangular ones are near impossible to find.
