SOURCE: my kitchenaid artisan coffee machine not enough water

if you have water out brewing without handle with coffee, than you check this 3 things:

  1. how fine is grinded the coffe, is it too fine for your machine?
  2. does pump make enough pressure to brew your coffee(you can measure if you attach an gauge to handle or steam pipe.
  3. by any chance your boiler security valve opens too soon and dont let pump to get the needed pressure. (perfect pressure is from 7 to 9 bar)

SOURCE: Kitchenaid mod#KCM511 - error 2

An ERR 2 may be cleared by a simple reset of the coffee maker. This means unplugging the unit and plugging it back in. When powered back on, select a brew function to see if the error reappears.

If the code does reappear, ERR 2 indicates an internal error with the computer of the warming plate. This may be covered under Kitchenaid's 1 Year Hassle Free Warranty. I would advise you to call Kitchenaid Customer Service to see what options are available to you. Repair is not recommended, as it is not cost effective for the company or the consumer.

Their toll-free telephone number is 1-800-541-6390.

SOURCE: Broken shear pin in kitchenaid A9 Coffee Grinder

I was able to find 3/32 x 1/2 inch spring pins at a local hardware for 13 cents each. They may not last as long, but at the price I can replace as needed.

I also had to disassemble twice; I didn't notice that a portion of the old pin was wedged in the underside of the burr. When I put it back together the first time, the new pin rested on the old fragment and pressed the burrs too close together. On the coarsest possible setting, I got coffee powder!

Final note: The nut for the cap over the burrs is reverse-threaded...use a wrench on top, and a flat-blade screw driver in the slot at the bottom of the motor shaft.

If you mean a chrome with serrated edges then that is a screw type ring that screws on the toggle switch on the outside to hold the switch tight in place against the body of the grinder. Place the ring over the toggle and hold the switch in place and screw the little ring on until tight.

How to Clean a Country Living grain mill

One of the most widely used grain mills is the country living grain mill, it is known for its stable build and lifetime warranty. Every so often when you use your grain mill frequently you will need to clean it out to keep it functioning as properly as possible. Luckily cleaning the Country living grain mills are very easy to clean.

First you want to disassemble the grinder, by removing the adjusting knob off of the front of the unit. Make sure that you don't lose the small square piece that keeps the front plate form spinning with the shaft. Behind the knob you will find some washers and the burr. You can take out the burr and use a small brush to clean out any flour than may have gotten caught inside.

Some times you will need to clean the grinding plates this can be done by using the wrench that came with the mill to remove the screws that hold the stationary plate in place. When the plates have been disconnected they can be taken out of the unit for a more thorough cleaning. If you wash them in water make sure that you dry them well immediately to prevent them from rusting. These grinding mills were not made to be washed in water, therefore just using a damp cloth should be thorough enough to clean the whole unit.

When you have finished washing and drying the pieces its time to assemble your mill. Before you put the plate back inside make sure that there is nothing inside the unit because the plate will not reattach if anything is in the way, all the mounting hole have to align before you move on to the next part of the mill. Then follow the disable instruction the reverse order, replace the burr, washers and knob. Wallah! you now have a clean grain mill ready for use.

Reach/remove pin.

Patricia, I am not sure which model you have old or new. I have the old one built in the 30's. I had to replace the shear pin and the carbon brushes for the motor. I took the bottom off which has a ball bearing resting loosely in a cavity in the bottom plate. Don't lose it. Now the brushes I found at an ace hardware. Take the old ones to compare. I think there was a bracket holding the brushes and rotor in. Once the rotor was out you could get the brushes out. Putting the brushes in required figuring out how to keep the brushes retracted. I used a piece of paper and used it hold them back while sliding in the rotor. Once in pull the paper out.
Now the shear pin needs to be in to prevent damage to the grinder in case what you are grinding has something too hard to grind like a small rock, I think if you push up on the rotor when the bottom plate is off or pulling up on the shaft it might give enough clearance to put the shear pin in. It sits very close to the bottom of the shaft so it can be fun trying to line it up. I used needle nose pliers to hold the pin just right while pulling up on the shaft. I bought the shear pin off of ebay

Need manual for pro 12 kitchenaid coffee maker.

Manuals and guides may be located online at KITCHENAID.COM.

In the upper-right hand corner of the site, click on CUSTOMER CARE and then click on LOCATE MANUALS AND GUIDES.

It will then ask you for your model number.

For an espresso maker, the model number is located on a silver sticker behind the water reservoir. For a coffee maker, the model number is located on a silver sticker underneath the machine.

On the website, type in your model number exactly as it appears on this sticker and click GO.

This will then bring up the literature listing for your particular unit. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the files.

Also, Kitchenaid Customer Service will send you a physical copy of an instruction manual at no charge if you choose to call them. Their toll-free telephone number is:

1.800.541.6390.

Are attachments for a KitchenAid K5 compatible with the K55?

That would be incorrect. If the attachment is for a hobart kitchenaid mixer then it will fit all models of kitchenaid mixers including the brand new pro series because the attachment port and drive gear has not been changes since 1925 or 6 when it was first introduce by the Hobart company.
