I would like to get closed captioning when I watch streaming netflix

Could be the net flix app that is bogus since the set and roku are working properly. Dump the app and reinstall.
After thought - is the remote working properly?

Netflix Activation with Roku devices

Signing out of Roku
Make sure that you enter Roku activate devices and navigate to Roku Home menu by pressing the home button. Select the Setting and choose Netflix settings from the menus. Select Deactivate the player from the Netflix account and chose the option yes now your Roku device will be deactivated.

well no, you need to use another source on the second tv for Netflix to come in. I have the Vizio smart tv with Netflix built in and I use the Roku box on my 2nd tv.

This is a problem with the connection not the Roku. Also things that can effect this is now many Movies you have in your Netflix Instant Que. Deleted some of the Instant Que movies and reboot the Roku. See if this will FixYa up.

If you are wanting full internet connection places like Best Buy have a box for
a $100.00 which will do the job. If you are only wanting something like Net
Flix then you can get a Roku box which has over a 100 different apps of
which about 75% are free or you can get Net Flix and other services for small
fees. Check Roku.com for a list of what they offer. Oh and no monthly fee for
the box.

You will need to login to your Netflix account and request a Wii disc from them. Login and click on Instantly to your TV, scroll down to the picture of the Wii and click on find out more. They will mail it to you and you use it like a game. You must have internet connectivity on your wii to stream movies. Add movies to your instant que on Netflix and then watch them on your wii when the disc is inserted.
