Try this:

hook them up using the play-and-charge usb cable

Then, disconnect the cable.

they should stay synchronized and worked fine after that.

How do i reactivate the wireless controller to my xbox 360

How to Configure an Xbox Controller Fotolia.com"> configure-xbox-controller-800x800.jpg Configure you Xbox controller.

The Xbox 360 utilizes two types of controllers: wired and wireless. Like most operations on a video game console, configuring a controller requires little effort. You can either plug the controller into a port on the Xbox 360, or sync a wireless controller using the console's built-in controls.
Difficulty:Easy Instructions

  1. Wired
    • 1 Connect the controller's cable to the in-line release cord. This cord prevents you from accidentally pulling the Xbox 360 along with your controller during game play.
    • 2 Insert the in-line release cord's USB plug into the USB port on the front of the console.
    • 3 Turn on the console to activate the controller automatically.
    Wireless
    • 1 Insert batteries in your wireless controller, if necessary.
    • 2 Hold down the "Guide" button on the controller.
    • 3 Push the Xbox 360's "Connect" button, located on the front of the console.
    • 4 Push the controller's "Connect" button to sync it with the Xbox 360.

None of my wireless XBox 360 controlers will connect to to my XBox 360. I have tried replacing batteries, syncing it with the system, turning my system off then on again, removing any obstructions near the...

If the wireless controllers won't connect under any circumstances even with the Charge-and-Play Cable then you most likely have a problem with a board inside your 360, i think it's like the RF board or something, mind you, the C-P cord only forces through an electrical charge and does not force the controller and console to connect, it just works when your batteries are low, in the event that your console is faulty, you can purchase RF boards and replace them yourself (voids the warranty but takes 20 minutes) or send it into XBox HQ (gives you more warranty but takes like 6 months)

I can't get my remotes to sync with the console.

Connecting a controller to the Xbox 360 is one of those things that should be simple but always ends up confusing and difficult.

Wired is simple; just plug in the controller into a USB slot on the console. It should connect automatically.

For a wireless controller you do the following:
1. Turn on the Xbox 360.
2. Press center Xbox button on 360 controller.
3. Press the small "sync" button on the console.
4. Press the small "sync" button on the controller quickly after step 3.
Of course I never remember the order, so randomly mashing the Xbox button and sync buttons eventually works too. Here's a link to how to sync, but with pictures!

If you're using the Xbox 360 Universal Media remote, I believe it uses an IR (infrared) connection so there is no syncing involved. To use it you just need to point it at the Xbox 360 console (specifically, it's IR receiver). Just make sure the batteries in the remote aren't dead and that the remote is in 360 mode (as opposed to TV mode; just press the "TV" button to toggle modes).

My xbox 360 wireless controller will not connect to my xbox 360 console even when i press the button that scans for the pad but it still turns on the xbox 360 when you press the middle button on the pad

Turn off both the console and the controller, then follow these steps:
  1. Turn on both the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller and the Xbox 360 console.
  2. On the console, press the connect button. (to the immediate right of the memory card slot on the console)
  3. On the controller, press the connect button. (Look on top of the controller for a small button.)
  4. The green lights that surround the Guide button on the controller and the power button on the console spin and flash when the controller is being connected to the console. After the controller is connected, a single green light illuminates on the controller and on the console to show you which quadrant the controller is connected to.

Wireless controler won,t connect to consol

I'm sure you have tried most of these steps but I'm going to list them any way. So we have a complete picture of the trouble shooting process.

1. Sync system first (By pressing the sync button on the system)
2. Right after you hit the sync button on the system, hit the button on the controller

Try replacing the battery's and or rechargeable battery for the controller. Repeat the sync process above.

Try another controller with your xbox or try your controller with a different xbox. Repeat sync process above of course.

If another controller works with your system than that would indicate that there is an issues with your xbox controller.

If your controller works with another xbox and no other controllers work with your xbox than there is a issue with your console.

For issues related to the xbox I would suggest contact xbox directly by calling 1800 my xbox.

I hope the info listed above has helped in some way.
If possible please rate this solution.

My controller will not link with my xbox. it just flashes 4 green lights around the circle. what can i do?

Did you sync it? here's how to sync it:

Step 1: Power on your Xbox 360 console2_bing.gif. In this guide I'm assuming everyone already has their console2_bing.gif hooked up, if not, contact me.

Step 2: Power on Xbox2_bing.gif 360 Controller. Make sure it has a battery pack that has correctly place and working batteries or charged re-chargeable battery pack.

Step 3: Locate the small circular sync button on your controller. It is near where your controller can be plugged in (between the LB and RB).

Step 4: Locate the small circular sync button on your Xbox 360 console. It is next to Memory Unit slot 2.

Step 5: Press and hold the controller sync button until the green power lights start spinning.

Step 6: While your controller lights are still spinning press and hold the console sync button. The console's lights should spin also, then flash, and finally show the player slot light on both the console and the controller.

Viola! You've synced your wireless controller! You can sync up to four controllers.
Also, you can use this guide to sync to different Xbox 360 consoles. So you can bring only your controller to your friend's house.

Note: If you sync your controller to another console, you will have to re-sync it to your own afterwords.

Neither of my xBox 360 wireless controllers will sync with my 360 console. I have tried both contollers with a variaty of battery packs and they still wont sync but i have no problem with my wired...

Remove the batteries from both controllers, and unplug the Xbox for a minute. Now turn the Xbox on by the power button on the console, Install the batteries in your controllers, and hit the Console sync button first, then hit the little sync button on top of the controller.
If this does not work, you can purchase the wired charge pack that you must plug in to the USB port of the console to charge, and this will sync as your wired controller does. When it is synced unplug the wire from the controller and voila. Remember, the charger pack will look like this.

Xbox 360 wireless controller not connecting.

it sounds like your controller keeps losing sync with the 360.

- turn them both off
- turn on the 360 with the power button on the console
- wait for it to start up, then press the sync button next to the usb flap on front.
- then press the sync button on the controller (by the recharge connection slot)

That should reset it.
