The free-wheel lever actually disengages the automatic electric brake so that the chair can be pushed. The brake is what holds the lever in either neutral or drive. Could be that your electric brake is shot.

How do you fix a steering wheel adjustment lever? it will not lock the wheel in place. is there some way to tighten it so it locks?

To fix a steering wheel adjustment lever that will not lock the wheel in place, you will need to determine the cause of the issue. Here are some possible causes and steps you can take to fix the problem:
  1. Loose or damaged parts: If the steering wheel adjustment lever is not locking in place due to loose or damaged parts, you may need to tighten or replace them. Check the adjustment lever and surrounding parts for looseness or damage, and consult the manual or a mechanic if you are unsure how to proceed.
  2. Worn or damaged gear: If the gear mechanism that controls the movement of the steering wheel adjustment lever is worn or damaged, it may not be able to lock the wheel in place. In this case, you may need to replace the gear or have the mechanism repaired by a mechanic.
  3. Cable or linkage issue: If the issue is with the cable or linkage that connects the adjustment lever to the gear mechanism, you may need to adjust or replace these parts. Check for any visible damage or looseness, and consult the manual or a mechanic if you are unsure how to proceed.
If you are unable to fix the issue yourself, it is recommended to have a mechanic diagnose and repair the problem, as improper repairs can lead to safety issues while driving.

Why won't my Husqvarna Riding Mower go into gear? After having a tractor tire repaired and replacing the wheel and tire onto my Husqvarna Riding Mower, it will not go forward or into reverse.

It is possible that the neutral lever (free wheeling lever) has been actuated by pulling the lever out during the repair. For normal operation the lever should be pushed in.

Hope this helps?

Someone wanting to buy my 1987 ford bronco2 4x4 test drove it and brought it back towing it behind a pu. my sons have driven it for 6 years and no recent problems. we have never used the four wheel drive....

it sounds like the transfer case is stuck in neutral you may have to get under vehicle and block wheels and have some one move 4 wheel drive lever while watching it from under vehicle see if it is moving the shaft on transfer case if it is not repair it possible loose nut or pulled out of plastic grommet if it has an electric motor to move it from 2 wheel to four wheel remove motor and manually move shaft to get it out of neutral if it does replace electric motor

I have a bebecar ip op and i want to know how to detach the rear wheel as it has a puncture?

The rear wheel is held in place by a locking clip which is controlled by a lever. To remove the wheel, simply press the lever rearwards, and pull the wheel away from the housing. Remove the tyre carefully, using appropriate tyre levers, in order to repair the puncture in the inner-tube, or to replace it.

How do I reset the combination?

Open the lock with the existing combination. Inside the outer panel, you will see a small lever that will push to the right, and **** in an upward position. With the lever cocked in this "learn" position, turn each wheel to line up the number you desire with the scribed line. Once all four wheels are parked on your chosen combination, flip the lever back into its "home" positon. Test the new combination a few times (and record it somewhere safe), before you close the lock up.

My 2005 DeVille's tilt steering wheel will not move. It is a mechanical lever (not power). when depressed the tilt mechanism doesn't seem to engage. the lever moves but the steering wheel cannot be...

There is no secret button. It sounds like the linkage between the tilt lever and the tilt mechanism inside the steering column has come loose, or the mechanism is jammed. If that's the case, it's a complicated job to repair it, and because of the air bag in the wheel housing, should only be done by a qualified shop.

Play in the steering wheel column after position adjustment

When they did the alignment it's possible that they used a tool that locks the steering wheel straight while it's on the alignment rack.If they put too much pressure on the wheel when they used the steering wheel seat lock tool it may have stressed you tilt lock mech causing it not to lock where you want it.Hope this helps

Maclaren quest pushchair.

Ok, I will try to do this step by step.
1. Place flat screw driver under hub cap and pry off (these we will reuse later).
2. Using diagonal pliers, cut star locks from axle, you should have received new one from Maclaren when you got the wheels, if not you will need to get those.
3.Repeat this process for each wheel.
4. Take off the old wheels and put the new ones on. Put on the new star locks (I use a small hammer), put the hub caps back on and viola, new Mac wheels.

New batteries, fully charged, still wont work

I will ask but don't take offence, so many people overlook the obvious, have you checked the free wheel lever/s are not set to free wheel (if it is the scooter will be relatively easy to push forward or backward) if set to free wheel then move lever/s to drive position

this is a link for the sonic scooter user guide, not 100% sure that it is the exact one or not but it should show you were to find the free wheel lock on your scooter it is in this guide and I would be surprised if it is not the same as yours. Hope that helps. Mark.
