Right click WiFi Network Connection, and select Status.
Select Wireless Properties in the resulting pop-up window.
Select the Security Tab. This will show security type, encryption type, and the network security key.
Click the box beside Show Characters, and you should be able to see your network password.

Not to worry are you talking about the WIFI Password or the Password to login into your wireless modem??

1. To log into your wireless modem access control which enables you to configure the Modem like Profile, Security and more first you need RJ45 cable Connect the cable to LAN or your computer and the LAN of the Modem to enable communication between both of them you might not gain access with wireless because you will need the WIFI password After connecting the modem with RJ45 cable make sure they are connnected below your computer on the task bar where you see clock, Time you see 2 computers blinking if you are using window XP but if window 7 you see something like a transparent monitor in white

If the RESET does not have a button and is just a hold look for a small match stick or something to fit into the hole press and hold make sure you see the light blinks or the it will restart by its self

Cannot remember my w-f password

If you lose or forget your password, you can usually get it from your modem or your Internet service provider.
  • 1 Look on your modem. This is the box that your Internet service provider gave you when your Internet service was installed. Some Internet Service providers put your wireless password directly on the box along with your user-name. A modem may or may not be separate from a wireless router, which sends out the wireless signals. If you have two boxes and are unsure which is which, look at both.
  • 2 Call your Internet service provider if you cannot find a password on the modem. You can also try online customer service through your service provider's website if you are able to get Internet access apart from your wireless connection.

  • 3 Talk to a customer service representive and ask to retrieve your password. You may be required to change it. Be prepared to provide security information that the service provider has on file, such as your Social Security number, phone number, address or another personal security question.

    Modem password and login

Modem login and password are required to set up your router. They are on your computer somewhere and I forget where. I've had a router for quite a while. The easiest way is th phone your internet supplier and ask them what they are. The package they sent you when you first signed up would contain all that but if it is lost (very comon) just check with your ISP.

Install 2wire 1701hg without installation CD

    1. pull up browser(ie internet explorer)
    2. type 192.168.1.254/setup or http://homeportal/setup in the address field. (click on i forgot my password if you forget it. then if you can't figure out the pw with the hint provided then go click on " i still forgot my password". you can then reset the system password)
    3. setup your 2wire 1701 page, double check if key codes are there. it should be 522P-22P4-6262-22AT-F2NV
    4. In time zone page, just choose the one then click next.
    5. setup connection info page, just make sure the username is your primary email address with your ISP and also the correct password. fill out the username and password and confirm password fields ONLY then click next. And you're DONE!

you just have to wait till it successfully establish a connection.
if you're still having problem after doing that maybe twice or more then i suggest giving your ISP a call. they can also send you the 2wire cd if your ISP supports 2wire modem. AT&T does.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
    Thanks, Joe
