This Monte Carlo seems to be yet another casualty of the notorious electrical issues of which so many other GM cars are known for. In this particular case, this has a message center situated inside the tachometer which, when they key is on, it will flash a battery indicator, and "security" due to a fault. With the engine running, it just says "security." The thing that escapes me is, there is no "service vehicle soon" message displayed in the message box, which would normally indicate a problem with the body control module, ignition switch, or an issue with loose or corroded wiring. However, the vehicle gets finicky to start from time to time due to what I believe to be a certain fault in the anti-theft system. I've read online that many who have had this problem have attempted to go as far a replacing the body control module and doing the 30 minute re-learn to program it, however many have had no results. Then I read that by cleaning the fuse contacts for the BCM and its fuse, and checking for loose or other problems with the ground. My question is, where is the BCM in this car, it's ground point, and what is the best method for cleaning the contacts safely without damaging anything in the process? Thank you.

That's actually good news, that it turns over normally. It could be that the plug wires aren't in the right locations, it could be that there isn't any fuel getting into the engine. A local parts place should have a spraycan of "starter fluid" they can spray into the air intake that will at least help it to start if there's spark.
They might want a set of new spark plugs if the replacement engine has been sitting for a long time, too.
Testimonial: "I think I hit the wrong key with this but you have been VERY HELPFUL AND WE APPRECIATE YOUR TIME with the post. I will tell her to try this today, i know they have used the starter fluid, but I dont think they have checked the spark plugs. I will pass this along. thank you so much and again, sorry for hitting that 'not helpful' key because this is helpful to us."
I appreciate your post, friend!
From the information you have provided your Electrolux dryer's displays blinks on and off when you turn the dial and it does not start. This sounds like a possible issue with your door latch or control panel. I would recommend for you to check the door strike and door latch to make sure there is no visible damage. If you do not see any damage this could be a wiring issue within your door latch or control panel. This is not a simple DIY job and I would suggest having a professional out to perform an accurate diagnosis. I hope this is helpful information. -Matt
