My tv yoke coil shorted.then i replaced it.old coil number is 6150z9243a.new coil is 6150s.so i cant get full screen in H side.i try to increrse using service menu.but cant.plz tell me the method

You have to adjust the capacitance value of the capacitor connected to yoke. The capacitor bypasses the scan output signal to yoke. It can be located at the main board. Connected to the collector of the horizontal output to deflection yoke. Decreasing its capacitance value will decrease the width of the picture, and increasing will do vice versa.
Refer any circuit diagram to horizontal scan section to locate this capacitor on board.

Hi,can i switch on the sonykv-xr29m50 without connections of yoke, crt, eht&picturetube coil (testing for +135v)

yes even with out the yoke and crt you can switch on the tv, you can check the primary supply 135v going to the horizontal section.

you mean a horizontal output transistor problem with your tv unit?. there are possible cause why a horizontal transistor get bad. it depends to what kind of trouble does the tv unit have. here are some of trouble that i encountered of H-out problem and how i fix it
  • leak regulator transistor, the problem of the tv unit when you turn on it works but suddenly shut down then the horizontal output get bad. now how are you going to know if the transistor is leak and shorted. by means of a digital multi tester or an analog tester. a good transistor must have a reading of .4 to .9 in a digital tester below or above to the range is said to be leak transistor. a regulator transistor is usually found at power supply section. how to test a transistor using the digital tester. get the tester and then pull out the transistor to chassis board. vinceisaac_24.jpg as you can see in the image above is a digital tester some other brands may vary in ranges but all the function are the same. now set the pointer to the resistance checking select to the range with diode sign. a transistor have 3 pins for base, emitter and collector (component term ) with the use of test probe now touch one end of probe either of the 3 pins and other probe to the other pin.check the reading to the display of tester if no reaction reverse the polarity until you find the correct reading as what i said a good transistor is about .4 to.9 and then try this process to the other pin of transistor to check if all the junction are good.
  • defective deflection yoke, the problem with the tv every time you turn on unit the horizontal output get damaged. a deflection yoke composed of two windings for vertical and horizontal coil ( technical term ). now how will you know if the coil has problem. a yoke has 4 wires, 2 wires for vertical and the other 2 wires for horizontal now with the use of digital tester set the pointer to the resistance checking either in a lower range. touch with the test probe either of the 2 wires check the reading if 0000 that means shorted sometimes cause by an over heat the insulation get damaged. repeat the process to the other 2 wires, a good coil at least has a reading about .5 to 1 ohm for horizontal and for vertical around 1.6 to 6 ohms it may vary depending to the yoke needed by the tv unit. vinceisaac_25.jpg the image above is sample of deflection yoke it was located and installed at the neck of ( crt )picture tube. if one of the coil winding has problem it always damaged horizontal output transistor and other part . i hope this trouble that i encountered will help you too to fix your problem good luck.

Vertical line

Hello

There is only two possibilities for this fault. As far as horizontal output section is concerned, it is working well, otherwise you will not get any screen illumination. Here up to horizontal output section is Ok. Then come the first possibility, the connection to the deflection yoke [the coil fitted on the neck of the picture tube] and it sconnection related. If this connection is open or loose contacted, there will be no horizontal scanning pulse reach to the coil; resulting a thin vertical lin through the middle of the screen. The second possibility is the deflection yoke, the coil said above is open. It is a very rare case, adn the possibility is only 2% or so. Your Tv must have the first said faut I thinks.
Open your tV, and follow th wires [usually 4 of them] from the delection yoke said above, and you will reaach to a point on the main board where they are socketed to a point. ust pull out and replugh that socket 3 or more times. If there is any loose contact, this process will retify it. Also check for any loose soldering point at the solder side of these four pins, and there is a capacitor that bypasses the horizontal scanning pulse to the deflection coil, check the soldering of its terminals for any loose. There are no other possibility in Sony sets to show this type of fault. OK.

Picture looks in middle how can I get it to see it in my 32 screen?

you should check the horizontal and vertical, is there a spare part that is damaged, and burned. especially check the Yoke deflection coil for vertical and horizontal output.Deflection coil yoke serves to enlarge the screen image.

The picture on my TV has changed to a cone shaped, with the RGB variations separated. This happened suddenly, after an afternoon of watching TV and it working perfectly.

yoke coil has gone in ur tv .the yoke coil will be around picture tube which controls horizontal $ vertical width deflection. take the help of service person to change it with same type.

Only getting vertical lines on screen..no picture

Tell me are they Verticle lines or verticle LINE. If it is one line, either yoke( a coil kept at the neck of the tube).A yoke has two coils for Vertical and Horizontal for deflections. When the Horizontal deflection coil is opened you get a vertical line which is a single bright line. There another small linear coil on the board connecting the horizontal coil of the yoke. This is a simple fault and tracing is very easy and not expenssive.Only if the yoke is open, it might be bit costly. And that is a rare case.

Emerson EWF2702 TV Problem

Hello yyimerr1,

This is a vertical deflection problem, These are the possible causes:

1) bad vertical coupling capacitor
2) bad vertical output IC
3) bad vertical driver IC
4) bad CRT deflection yoke

Troubleshooting needed:
1) using the TVs schematic locate the driver IC the output IC and the CRT yoke transformer.
2) using an oscilloscope look at the vertical driver signal it should be a sawtooth signal from the driver to the yoke (increasing in amplitude for each section, i. e. driver and output).
3) if no sawtooth patter is seen that is your problem, look for the component in the section where signal is entering but nothing is coming out.
4) replace the components

Now let me tell you something, don't continue to play the TV with the line present with brightness applied, this will burn the image of the line into the phosphorous coating of the CRT.

I hope this helps

Thank you,
