turn on ps3 leave on stand by (red light), hold eject button and power button until you hear beeps and a message appears. connect controller and press ps button. system restore screen should appear, select restart system and from there it should restore everything back to normal. don't forget to rate

theres a little hole on the bottom of ya controler get somethin small and press the button.you may also need a new charger.my controlers did that to now one of mine to day went wacko on cod 5 when i moved the ps button wasnt pressed but the screen still poped up then it wasnt responding correctly it made me go like this stand crouch lay down crouch lay down stand up and kept on doing it its going to affect my freinds playing when he plays splitscreen with it how do i fix it!?

just hold the PS button on the controller and select controller settings and change it to 1, if your talking about another kind of handset just take the controller that is 1 and under controller settings change it to 3 and it should swap 3 for 1 putting the handset to 1.

hold the PS button for 2 seconds if you just tap it in a game it brings up the XMB you have to hold it to get to the settings.

when i turn on my ps3 the light turns green then yellow and then goes to stand bye

It's the middle button in the center of the controller.

It says "PS" on it. The PS LOGO.

This is a common problem which is usually fixed by following these steps. Turn ON your PS3.
Go into the menu with all the scrolling menus
Go into system settings and make sure auto-play is on.
Press the PS button on your controller until you see the stand-by type menu. The screen has a dark filter on it and it should say "TURN OFF CONTROLLER, TURN OFF SYSTEM"

You should try reseting the video setting.
When you have the PS 3 on Stand by (Red Light), press the reset button, but do not let go. The system will beep a few times and then go back into Stand By Mode(Red Light).
Reboot the system again and video should be back to normal throw the AV port.

1 check remote control. 2 tv comes to stand by to protect itself 3 there might be problem in power supply section 4 & if it is ok check horizontal section. 5 call skilled tech to fix it. 6 it is not a major problem.
