KDF-55W655 The red indicator light blinks 5 times you can hear the fan running no picture, the set will then shut down, Service tech replaced bulb and fuse still no picture. Any help the service tech tells me the set needs to taken to there shop for more tests.

You might need a new housing! Sometimes, the housing can be damaged with a new bulb and it can caused the TV to want to shut off.

3 blinks is indicating that the lamp door cover isnt making contact so the lamp door cover is either attached wrong or the switch is defective.

4 times red standby light indicates problem with exhaust fan that is not running for some reason.
Recheck fan that you replaced and make sure its connector is plugged properly and it running freely.
4 times red light blinking is fan error in this tv.

You need to open up set and clean out all fans of dust or the new bulb isnt being cooled, or the color lcd isnt being cooled shutting TV off.

Are you putting the lamp cover back in place before trying to turn the set on? The 2 blink error is a temperature error you might want to check the thermal sensor, is your lamp door warped?

4 blinks shows problem either one or all 4 fans are not working AND internal temperature high error.

If you are familiar with TV repair and know basic electronics then unplug TV from AC outlet an take off back cover and check fans are running?

Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. 6 blinks means a low B error. Which is no DD 6volt output on G1 board . This will cause no picture and no sound. To fix this yourself you would need the manual to get the correct sequence to test and proper part to order. I get 5 blinking red lights for about a minute or so before it powers back down. The Sony TV has a specific light that i presume is supposed to light up when the bulb is out. I'm unsure if this is what it is.
no picture, no sound. tries to boot with green light blinking a few times. then goes to red blinking light, six in all, then waits a few moments, then another 6 blinking red light.
Bulb was already replaced several months ago but we do have the TV on for long periods of time.
