Hi if you found a solution to the problem? I have a similar problem-after a few falls not read my sim card

1. Power down the Nokia cell phone before inserting the SIM card. If the phone is on when you insert the SIM card, it may not detect the newly placed device.
2. Insert a SIM card from your specific wireless provider. If you are attempting to insert the SIM card of a different company, your Nokia phone may not properly detect or use the equipment.
3. Slide the SIM card completely into the SIM card port on your Nokia cell phone. If the card is not pushed in all the way, your phone will not detect the information.

If the phone is branded then it probably needs to be unlocked. Is there another service provider written on the case?

Try going to the store where you bought your origional phone that your sim card came with.Ask them to look into the sim card info and see if you can get a password out of them.Then if u get one try it out.

Do a phone reset

try holding down the power
remove the back cover and battery
(at this point briefly let up on the power)
remove the sim card
wait for "insert sim card" message
remove battery
reinsert sim card and battery
release power key when the splash screen comes up
