Detergent not dissolving therefore some items not clean.

Jerry had two good First Checks with the water level and the temperature. Turn on the dishwasher and open the door after it completes filling and check the level and temperature.

A third possibility if the level and temperature are correct is that your dishwasher is not spraying enough water around. This could be due to a faulty pump, but more often I see a reduced spray from a clogged filter on the input to the pump.

You can check the amount of spray by waiting until it starts the wash cycle and open the door quickly. Water should be pouring off the upper rack and you should either have water come out of the door or have it be very close to spraying out.

Some dishwasher models have an easily accessible filter, others take some tools to get down to it.

Front doors wont unlock

is it below freezing outside.. doors frozen closed?? what..use regular room temp water from a gallon jug and pour it over the door seal area all the way around the door.. once opened.. take a bar of soap or vaseline and coat the entire door seal to help keep the door from sticking in the future. do this every coulpe of weeks and spray the door mechanism with wd40 or spray lube in a can so it wont stick either..

When I turn on my Jackson Delta 5 it says that it is heating water, and that is all it will do. It will set like that until I disconnect the thermostat wire and plug it back in. Then it will continue the...

THIS could be your huckleberry! It is item 3 of suspects...
Also note ITEM 7, "heater delay relay"?

Disconnecting and reconnecting MAY be resetting that relay!?

ALSO BE VERY AWARE OF THIS:

BEFORE the heater element can be energized, the rinse
booster heater MUST be initially filled with water. Damage to
the heater element will occur if the element is not submerged
in water!

Maytag Quiet Series 300 - it seems like the soap door is not opening and when it does the soap packets are not dissolving. I cleaned out all of the spray arms. That did not help. What else can I do??

  1. Be sure that you don't have something large blocking the dispenser door like a cutting board.
  2. Make sure the water temp is 125 degrees going into the dishwasher. Cold water won't break down detergent correctly.
  3. Make sure your getting water pressure: Run your dishwasher on normal. Wait until the cycle starts and the spray arms are spraying. Turn a cup right side up to catch water on the top rack if you run the dishwasher and wait 20 sec that cup should be half or full. If you don't have water in the cup you could have poor water pressure from your pump. This could indicate 1. Worn motor 2. Clogged pump
Have a great day!

Water enters dishwasher, soap door opens but soap

That's a normal path for the soap. It sounds like the water just sits in the bottom without being pumped through the spray arms. Does the pump motor run? Pop the door open in the middle of the washing cycle--you should see hot water dripping from everything and the soap picked up and circulated with the water. If this machine has seen a lot of use, the intake screen under the lower spray arm may be plugged and is accessed by removing the spray arm and working your way down to the bottom of the deck. Might be a problem for a service technician to take care of.

Blades not spinning

open door while working and check water is coming out of the jets in the spray arms. if so, remove spray arms and clean. fault may be caused by debris in the end jets which being at an angle are used to turn the arms by the water spraying out. this is not related to water temp. only way to check this is to open up at the end of heat cycle and see how hot water is
