Hi, Sounds like one of the mounting springs has either broken or become unattached. Take the back panel off and look inside at the mounting springs anchor points.
There should be 8 anchor points, 2 top & 2 bottom front and back. if any one of these are broken, they need to be replaced (which is an easy diy repair) Just purchase a new one from your local machine repair shop, or on line if you know the make & model, or if a spring has become unattached, (again another easy diy repair) simply Re-attach to its anchor point

Hope this helps

Kind regards
dave

Is your load evenly distributed when spinning? The drum will not spin freely when empty and pushed by hand so don't worry about that. Run a full cycle on empty to see if it still makes the noise. If so you probably need a visit from the repairman.

My Duet Washer is making loud noise during spin cycle and has plastic shavings, from front tub rubbing i assume.

Hi, it could be your drum bearings are gone the drum would wobble slightly. A way of checking is , machine unplugged put one hand at bottom front and one hand at top front edge and push up and down if it clunks quite badly then your bearings on the drum shaft are needing renewed. You also have a shock absorber for steading the drum this can also fail. The absorber is very hard to compress so if its easy to compress then it needs re-newed.

Hotpoint aquarius wml760 noisey when spinning with stuff in but ok empty

more than likely the rear bearing has gone bad and when a load is applied the difference in weight distribution causes the knocking.

Hi my hotpoint washing machine is near 3 years old the last few weeks it is making a terrible noise when on spin only. \r\nthe noise is really loud but everything is washing and drying the same its just...

Sounds loike the main drum bearings have failed.
Spin the drum by hand from the front, and if it feels rough, or is rumbling or grating, then the main bearigs have failed.
Quite an expensive repair, unless it is covered by the Hotpoint 5 year parts guarantee, check with Hotpoint.

Dryer makes loud squeaking sound when spining

how old? Dryers squeak for one of 3 reasons..bad belt, bad motor or drum rubbing against dryer framework.
run it empty...intermittent squeaks usually are the drum...something's bent
continuous- is there any burning smell? If so, most likely the motor, if not, possibly the belt.
Open the top (most have screws or can just be pried open) and watch it run...identify the source of the sound if possible

try spraying the belt and motor with a little wd-40 and let it dry for a day, then try again.
If that doesn't help, repairman or new/used dryer...probably better off to find a decent one off of craigslist b4 paying to repair an already faulty machine

Sounds like the main drum bearings have failed.

When spining it makes very loud noise , like aeroplane when start

Hi.
It definately sounds like the drum bearings have failed.
It is a DIY job, but not easy, as it entails stripping the m/c down,
If it is under 5 years old, then it should be covered by a 5year warranty., you will just have to pay for the labour, certainly the cheapest option.

Hotpoint Aquarius WF 430

Best way to check if the main drum bearings have gone is to;
  1. Remove back panel of washer
  2. Remove drive belt.
  3. Spin drum by hand from the inside of the drum, if it feels rough, or is noisy and rumbling, then the main bearings have gone.
If there is no apparent noise, then you will have to investigate further.
If I can help further, pleas let me know.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

Drum sounds like it's rubbing against metal

hi there....sounds as if youve got a bra wire etc trapped between the outer and inner drum..open the appliance door and carefully examine the inner drum you will possibly see the offending wire protruding from some one of the holes in the drum...it can either be removed by juggling it out or having an engineer remove it for you regards Sir Galahad
