Conversion information trying to convert 40 hp Yamaha 4 stroke tiller arm to centre console have bought conversion kit from local dealer ,steering, and gear control there is oil, temperature alarm/light I was wondering if there was a gauge kit that was easily to connect or should I get a dealer to connect it any information about gauges or connection would be appreciated thanks malmac@live .com

Some cars have a second fuse box under the hood near the battery. See if your car doesn't have one of those.

If everything keeps going like that then it sounds like its a problem with the onboard computer. The computer controls all the guages and would explain why they all fail at the same time.

there is usually a button on bottom of the steering column to push to take the key out of the ignition. it should allow you to turn the key to the lock position

The sender is a plastic flip up fitting located at the bottom of the transom. They have two positions. Down and in the steam below the bottom of the water for reading the speed. Up to protect when trailering. Check to see if it is up. I never heard of a unit that is attached to the engine itself.
