You shouldn't have to open the back of the printer. You may be having problems with the platen being too tight to allow you to load labels.
If included a picture to help describe the loading process:

Pulling the lever forward (3) releases the Platen tension. Feeding the labels from the bottom of the roll (4) into the slot shown. With the tension off the Platen you should be able to insert the label all the way through the printer

Error 241.1 Paper Jam. I have reseated the tray

Brand New T652n lexmark printer get a paper jam every time! just opened and haven't been able to print one paper. Doesn't matter if you print from tray one or tray two. It gets stuck right after the rollers pick it up and try to send it to the toner. Any suggestions? I've tried to reseat the toner, plain paper, sized the paper correctly, I've tried just about everything I can think of! I can feed paper manually through the top tray, and it will print. But, just using the manual tray defeats the purpose of the other two trays. Anyone else having this issue?

I can't figure out how to print labels using the stack bypass. Help!

when you put lables into bypass the machine will autom. ask you for format eg. a4, then you press OK, next type of paper: LABELS and OK.

Place the paper so that the lables are face down

Printer will no longer pull paper through or paper jams

There is a blockage. Open the cover and try pushing a single sheet of paper through, this will allow you to identify where it is being blocked. Usually comes from a previous paper jam or something sticky having not completed the cycle, such as a mailing lable. Once identified, a thin letter opener should help you unblock it.

Dell Photo 926 AIO "Load Paper" error

Solved myself: I reseated the 4 internal wire harnesses and ribbon cables. None of these were obviously loose, but it seemed to do the trick.

Printing Labels

The MPF is simply the "Manual Paper Feed".
Your printer is set by default that the MPF paper type is "plain paper". Since you are telling the printer that you are trying to print lables, the printer is simply telling you that you need to load the MPF with lables.

If you say "ok", the printer sould continue and print the lables.

If you only print lables, the you can change the default paper for the MPF tray to "lables", and then you will no longer be prompted to load the tray.
