I am using an EOC-3220 EXT in bridge/client mode for long range wifi access from my boat.
I am able to connect to an access point using manually assigned IP addresses 192.168.1.10 for my PC and 192.168.1.1 for the EOC-3220 in bridge client mode. I have access to the EOC-3220 using IE browser.
However, I have been having trouble accessing the internet from my PC after connecting the EOC-3220. I had access to the internet through my PC's browser briefly after changing my PC from a manually assigned IP (192.168.1.10) to automatically retrieve an IP address. Now I cannot access the internet with the PC's browser with either a manually assigned IP address of 192.168.1.10 or by allowing the PC IP address to be automatically assigned.
I have the latest firmware upgrade installed (1.40….). Can you tell me what I am doing wrong?
Try going into the tools menu selecting internet options then selection conection check the auto detect box and then try again if this dont solve post back and i have another look for you also has this been a problem since you started using the setup or has it been working up till now if it is new problem try using the system restore option in the system tools menu then try again but remember to back up any saved files that you have done between now and the restore point hope this is some help
What are you using for Internet connects? do you have the Access point connected to a Router. or is it connected to the Cable or DSL modem. I will need more information to complete this. If you have a router is is set to give an IP address or do you have a static IP? If it is set to give a Dynamic ip change the access point to recieve ip address from router and same with computer. If your connected directly to the Modem with the access point and you only have one IP address it will be used by the access point and not allow the computer to connect.
for more help please provide your internet (DSL, T1, CABLE) if you have router, how it provides IP, and how access point is connected to it.
From your 2nd posting I am thinking your not solved.
You are trying to connect from the wireless router down stairs to the EOC using wireless. have you enabled WDS? page 49 of manual http://static.tigerdirect.com/pdf/engeni...
I have not used this feature, all of my access points are hardwired to the router and a user as an access point or Client... The way you are seting this up it appears you need to chage it to a repeater using the WDS. If you are not solved and the solution above did not work you may want to change your Solved to almost there so others may solve it faster. I will attempt to set one of my access points up later today as a repeater to test this as well, but someone else may already have the answer figured out.

My AP/router is a netgear MR814 hooked to internet via cable modem.
The router is set to get IP address dynamically from the ISP.
This is located downstairs in my house.
I am using the EOC 3220 upstairs as wireless bridge/client.
It is hooked to the upstairs computer with an ethernet cable.
I can connect the EOC 3220 upstairs to the router downstairs (wireless link) but I was only able to get access to the web briefly from the computer upstairs. The computer upstairs is running Windows 98SE.
It is fixed now. There were two separate issues. First problem was that after establishing a connection manually by accessing the bridge using the PC browser with the PC set to a fixed IP (192.168.1.10) I needed to go back and reset the PC to allow the IP to be set dynamically.
After I did this I would get internet access briefly, say 5 minutes or so. This second problem , access only for 5 minutes or so, I think was due to a virus or spyware. After I reloaded the windows 98 operating system this second problem was fixed and now the bridge has maintained the connection for 20 hours or so. Thanks for your help.
