Sometimes this will overshadow the picture some times its just the gray and black lines. their is a distinct pattern to it as well and it looks like this only the whole screen: /-\_/-\_/-\_/-\_/-\_/-\_/-\ almost a wave affect. or it reverses pattern and color scheme of the black and gray. sometimes the gray or black is replaced with the last image [sometimes still moving, sometimes the image is frozen] it is schizophrenic at times and we have already tried Holy Water, wile telling the TV "the power of Christ compels you." [sorry i had to laugh, other wise i might set the thing on fire] sometimes the picture is their with an over lay or even seen through the black and gray tones with a fade impression of the image, sometimes it is super imposed on the back ground and sometimes depending on how fast the back ground is moving when that is going on the TV shuts down and goes through a reboot resetting every thing to default, [sound picture, power save mode, parental controls set to default Y7 only however it has not reset the password ... yet[still waiting for the other shoe to drop on that one] other times we go weeks with out issue. also... sound if it is not one it is the other turning it off and back on helps however you may need to do it 2x in a row. it is random one other or both at the same time we have tried vacuuming it out has reduce the frequency however it still occurs.... [wile typing this out a new one just occurred all gray screen then shut off by its self reset all pic audio and parental controls, then turn back on less then 30 sec start to finish of issue, then all black no sound no reset then back to normal 10 sec start to finish of this one 30 sec intervals.] and now we have a new color to the mix Green with gray no sound and a new pattern. -_-_-_-_-_-_ ~3" down from the top of the screen solid gray across the TV. is my TV possessed?
If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following
symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can
examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life
of your monitor or TV by several years.
Take it to a repair shop.

Well I have the same problem with green light and no sound and no pix. After i opened it all up i checked the main power supply board and found all fuses good and the 12vdc side of the board dead. My best guess is this power board has many problems. All the driver boards for the screen are located on the perimiter of the screen. If you loose part of the power supply board you will loose part of functions of the tv. At this time i am looking to replace the entire power board. Will let you know the location and fix soon as i find it. jim [email protected]
