Newly acquired e10 machine, developed a leak, quite badly from the bottom rear area. A few days later it stopped working and shows a general fault code.

I have solved a leak doing as suggested by hhmartins. There was noticeable white scale around a couple of connections and these were cleaned up.
Could there be a blockage? The pressure relief valve (small round thing) was easily removed and cleaned.

From page 21 of the owner's manual: Message: general alarm. Meaning: The inside of the appliance is very dirty. What to do: Clean the inside of the appliance thoroughly, as described in section 15. If the message is still displayed after cleaning, contact a service center.
Hope that all your machine needs is a thorough cleaning; it's not that difficult.
