SOURCE: Printing problem

I also own an HP D2360. I had the same problem with eyang and vinerc. I brought the printer to a computer technician and he told me that my color cartridge is busted and needs to be replaced. I bought
a new color cartridge and presto! My printer is working fine.

SOURCE: printer carriage not working properly in 5510 'all-in-one'

Does your carriage just move to the right side and get stuck? That's what mine does. I just fiddle with it and wiggle stuff until it's starts working and it'll work until I shut it down but when I turn it back on it starts all over again.

SOURCE: My HP laserjet 1300 has something blocking the

Could be the case that you are trying to print too large documents, which the printer do not have enough memory to handle. Try with simple text files, with no images or photos embedded & check if these will be printed out or not.

My HP laserjet 1300 has something blocking the printing process... it spools/pending for a long time then an error msg comes up. Its like a document is caught somewhere in the spooling process but not...

The last time I had a problem like this with an HP laserjet the problem turned out to be the need for increased memory in the printer and replacing a faulty memory module. Check your memory modules in that laserjet and make sure you aren't overloading the printers ability to process the information.

On command to print with my epson lx-300+, message reads, "No Printer". When searched on fax and printer and double-clicked "Add Printer", a message came out saying, "It can't...

Hi Basti here,
Try this...
If you are receiving SPOOL.SVC or PRINT SPOOLER ERRORS when trying to uninstall/reinstall your printer, or when trying to print a document or access the printer properties, please follow the steps below.

The following are examples of some of the messages you may be receiving:

Spool.svc is not running. Make the service active and try again.
Printer Properties cannot be displayed. The print spooler service is not running.
Printer cannot be removed. The print spooler service is not running.
Windows cannot print due to a problem with the current printer setup.
(When clicking Add Printer) Operation could not be completed.

NOTE: Only these types of errors warrant the troubleshooting steps clearly defined below.

Resolution:

SPOOL.SVC is an operating system function which carries files through the operating system for printing. It must be STARTED (active) to be able to print or access any printer's functions. This file usually starts automatically with Windows, however operating system issues may cause it to become stopped. You cannot uninstall or reinstall a driver while this service is stopped.

Please try the following to start the service again:

1) Click on START, right click MY COMPUTER, left click MANAGE.
2) On the left column, double-left click SERVICES AND APPLICATIONS, then click SERVICES.
3) Locate and highlight the PRINT SPOOLER on the list of Services.
4) Click START THE SERVICE.

If errors occur and the service cannot be started, there is another issue within the operating system itself.

Spooled documents get deleted

Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

Poor print quality of pdf documents on Epson LX-300

PDFs are designed to print using Postscript language.
The problem will occur with any non-Postscript printer. You can get better results on Windows printers by clicking on the "Advanced' button in the Print dialogue window. Then check 'Print as Image'.

This has worked well for me.

I have (4) documents to print, but it won't print. It says: 4 document(s) pending owner

To cancel a print job in Windows you can use one of the following two methods:

CANCELLING A PRINT JOB WITH THE PROGRESS METER:
When you send a print job to the printer, the Status Monitor will appear in the bottom right corner of your screen. Another printer icon for the PROGRESS METER will also appear in the taskbar while printing is taking place. This PROGRESS METER is there so you can manage print priorities or cancel print jobs.

1. Highlight the print job in the PROGRESS METER box.
2. Click on DOCUMENT and CANCEL, or, right click on the job name and left click CANCEL or DELETE.
3. Confirm cancelling the print job.

CANCELLING A PRINT JOB FROM THE PRINTERS WINDOW:
If no PROGRESS METER appears, you can access the document queue in this fashion:

1. Open START, SETTINGS, CONTROL PANEL, PRINTERS (START, CONTROL PANEL, PRINTERS and FAXES in Windows XP).
2. Right click on your Epson printer name, left click PURGE PRINT JOBS (98,ME), or CANCEL ALL DOCUMENTS (2000,XP). (Or, double-click on the printer name to see and modify the status of documents in queue.)
3. Confirm cancelling all documents.

Keep in mind that once information has been sent to the printer it resides in the spooling folders within Windows. It may a while for printing to stop as this data clears the system.

If the printer continues to print (ie multiple copies of a cancelled job, or garbled print) remove the rest of the paper from the printer and allow it to run out. Once an "out of paper" type error appears on your screen, cancel the documents. Once all print job information has deleted, reload the paper and press the paper feed button once to clear the red light and return the printer to a ready state.
