BRAND NEW JVC GZ-MG330AU Blank White Screen W/ Blue lines

We went to use our BRAND NEW JVC GZ-MG330AU camcorder, and all we get is a white screen with many horizontal lines. We can't acess the menu or anything. HELP!!!

Im having a problem with my jvc everio camcorder, ive been using it for 2 years, and now whenever i open it, white screen appears,... is the repair expensive? what may be the problem? thank you?
