Hello.

I would suggest that you upgrade or reinstall the video software that you are using, such as Windows Media Player.

But, you didn't indicate if the Only time your laptop performs poorly occurs when watching a movie or video clip. If your laptop is slow in other ways as well, let us know.

Hope this helps.

Hi ankitsuman, This problem due to the lack of dedicated memory for graphic card. The only option you can do is in BIOS you can change dedicated memory size to maximum, also you can increase the physical RAM size because part of RAM is using for graphic card.

Video and Audio is skipping and is choppy

Check you have not got a lot of programs auto-starting and running in the background.
Press control/Alt and delete keys together and pick task manager.
Then have a look at the services running sorted by % CPU time, then you should find your culprit.

Compaq Presario Cq57-210US - Online Vide Lag

Make sure you have the latest version of flash player installed. What browser are you using? If it's chrome, make sure there aren't multiple versions of flash player enabled by opening a new tab and going to chrome://plugins. Are you having trouble with local video (on the machine itself) as well? If so, you may need to update your graphics drivers. If none of the above are helpful, try downloading and installing the latest version of the k-lite codec pack

Why is it when i go to watch a Tv program it keeps video skipping every 2 secs?

Could be that your internet speed is to slow to stream or your video card can't handle what you are trying to watch. Try updating your video card driver to the latest drivers for that card.

Problems with video playback--Video keeps skipping.

First of all make sure your internet speed is right. Make sure no third party program is running in the background which is taking up CPU resources. You can also download DVD decoder like Klite codec free from www.download.com and reinstall the flash player from www.adobe.com

Inspiron B130 laggy video and sound.

I'd recommend the latest video drivers- and strangely enough- defragging the hard drive. Most laggy systems I've seen with plenty of ram (512 or more) that have no spyware on them, and no major ram eaters (norton, spysweeper, mcafee) are fragmented. look in task manager (ctl, alt del) and see how much free ram you have- and see what is using all of it. If you have a lot of ram, and no process is chewing up the ram, or the cpu- then defrag the hard drive.
