I have a jazzy select 7 and freewheel mode will not change even after rocking chair and moving handles up and down it still stays in drive mode

To engage or disengage the drive motors: 1. Locate the manual freewheel levers at the front of the chair. See figure 5. 2. Push the levers down to engage the drive motors (drive mode). See figure 8. 3. Pull the levers upward to disengage the drive motors (freewheel mode). See figure 9.
If a lever is difficult to move in either direction, rock your power chair back and forth slightly. The lever should then move to the desired position Manual link below.

How do I disengage motor on a 2003 Jazzy 1113 Mobility chair

The manual freewheel levers on the 1113 are at the front of the chair, on either side of the foot plate. When they are in "Drive" mode, they are in the down position, parallel with the ground. In this position you can't push the chair. To get to "Freewheel" mode, move them to the up position, about 45 degrees from the ground. In freewheel you can push the chair, but not drive it with the motors.

Sometimes it helps to rock the chair back and forth while you move the levers.

Alarm sound all the time when switch on

Hi, that normally happens when the scooter is in freewheel mode, now double check the lever located at the rear, okay having done that , disconnect the axle from the main frame, check the connection here are clean and touching , if it's a plug remove the plug stray in some contact cleaner , refit making your it 's a tight fit,

Still got the problem then check the micro switch located near the freewheel lever , normally located on the brake mech , make sure it connecting when the freewheel lever is moved.

The wheel chair when I push the button to turn off the power lights will go off but then come back on blinking 6 times, and keeps on doing it until the battery go's dead.

6 flashes indicate a right park brake fault or you have the right wheel in freewheel check the freewheel lever on the right motor to make sure it is in the drive mode Hope this helps

hi, if the freewheel lever is jammed which is located on the drive motor, take the rear cover off and make sure the lever is not bent,

you will see how the freewheel lever is mounted under normally a rubber cover on the side of the electric motor ,
