Toshiba tv screen goes black every 5 minutes with sound still on

When playing a video or DVD, my Toshiba Regza flatscreen tv goes black but with the sound still playing about every 5 minutes. The only way we can get our picture back has been to turn the tv off and then back on, but it goes blank again 5 minutes later! Please help :)

It seems to do it when playing a video or DVD, so we hooked up a seperate DVD player and it works fine, so do you think it's a problem with the compatability with the video/DVD player?

Toshiba REGZA won't play DVD. Shows "disc loading" then goes to wide screen mode, but then ejects the disc. Whats up?

Sounds like the laser pickup unit to the DVD player is faulty. Contact any service technician to replace it. The disc mechanism should be taken out of it to replace this part.

My toshiba regza 32LV67U LCD TV TV/DVD combo has sound and powers on but after a second or two the screen goes black what could be wrong and how much would it be to fix it money wise and could it be done...

A board or P board has blown inside the unit. A technician can orderand fit one and they cost up to £100- sorry.

Unsupported video signal

It is possible that Jewelquest changes the screen resolution to one that is not supported by the TV. I am not familiar with Jewelquest, but the typical reason for the unsupported message is a resolution outside of the supported range. The supported resolutions should be listed in the owner's manual.
