Volume goes to 0 by itself

Using the volume control buttons on the television itself (not the remote) turn the volume all the way down to 0.
Using the volume controls on the Digital box itself.
Turn up the volume until it is at the maximum.
Using the television's volume controls again; raise the volume to a comfortable level.
If you are still experiencing the audio problems on this television, it is possible there is a loose connection on the television.

it would appear Volume down button is either shorted or something is constantly pushing on it forcing the volume to go down. You could try to press on the down button and see if it feels like it pushes back a little bit. The most common thing is that it gets sticky from grimy, sticky fingers, try to un-stick it using some alcohol on a cotton swab. Other that the only way to fix this is to take the tv apart and figure out the button problem that way!

Your volume goes down or up depending on the demand (number of viewers} viewing the channel at any given moment. That is mormal.

Try taking the batteries out of the remote or taking it out of range from the tv. Then try turning the volume up on the Tv manually. If the volume continues to go down on its own then it is a problem with the tv set itself. If the problem stops with the remote out of the picture then it is a remote problem. As far as powering the unit off may be a similar issue. If there is an on/off button on the tv and it works to turn the power on but not off then it is a tv issue. If the remote turns the tv on but not off it may be something as simple as the wrong code being programmed into the remote(universal remote) or if it is the factory remote it may be an issue with that. You could try getting a new universal remote that works with your unit.

A bad connection on the small signal board may be the problem! Have a Tech check this connection, it may be to tight due to the heat shrink tube. Have them peel it back to reduce the strain! Should work then!

I think this problem is a program generated problem, i mean your normal program is being damaged or invaded by viruses. Since a typical windows xp os works well if not threaten by other programs. One solution that i can see best is for you to have an updated antivirus program in your PC. After having an updated antivirus program clean your computer by it, then Reinstall your driver softaware for your Windows media player of if you are using different software other than windows media player pls. reinstall it.
