Hi this is the way how to examine what's wrong with your LCD monitors. After you turned it on and the screen blacked out or stopped working, you have to check that if you can see the image on the screen or not by shining a flashlight into the screen, not directly but find the best angle to the screen and take a look very closely. If you can see the icons or any image, there will be a minor problem. This is because of the lamps inside screen. Some of them were broken and it is very easy to replace. If you cannot see anything on the screen, there'll be some problems with inverter board. If you have soldering tool and want to fix it by yourself, check the caps first. It may cause this problem. Some caps might show leaking or burn spot on the board because of too high temp. If you don't have soldering tool, you better go get a technician to do so. Hope this help!! Got the same problem, happened yesterday for me, Did some research and it looks like its bad capacitors in the back, check out this page for more information... i'm taking mine to an electrician to fix today... luckily he's related and should be able to fix it on the cheap...

This is most likely the power inverter board in the monitor - this is common in many monitors. If it started taking longer and longer to display an image, and the power light is blinking on-and-off, that's the problem. You can confirm that it's the monitor and not your computer or the cable by plugging in another monitor if you have one to try. If it's under warranty, send it back, if not, there are inverter boards for many common models of LCD monitors that are replaceable The board can run anywhere from $50 on up. Depending on how old your monitor is and how much you've invested into it, you may find it better to just replace it with a gently used one from ebay.

hello i have the same problem, there are 4 lamps (bulbs) inside the monitor when some of them falls the system turn off, cheks and good look
