DR-9080C feeds all sizes of paper and batches without issue, but will only feed 11x17 sheets part way before announcing a paper jam. Verified that it is feeding a single sheet, and have tried all relevant options for paper size in CP3.1. Will also jam when doing a "count only" from the scanner control pad. Pickup rollers are new, but problem continues. Any thoughts?
You probably need to set the user settings to "long doc" mode.
1) When the machine is in the standby state,
press the NEW FILE key and Count Only key
simultaneously. During the user mode, the
LEDs of the NEW FILE key and Count Only
key illuminate and the address (U01-U10)
and data (the last digit) appear on the
counter display.
2) When changing the address, use the NEW
FILE key. Each time NEW FILE is pressed,
the address changes, cycling from U01 to
U10.
3) When changing the data, use the Count Only
key. Each time Count Only is pressed, the
data changes.
4) Pressing the Stop key exits the user mode.
Long document mode =U10; 0=normal and 1=long document mode.
Happy Scanning!

Clean the rubber rollers (pickup and ******) with a damp cloth, loosen the papers to be scanned. Clean all the rollers in the scanning path. What is the eror that is displayed? Download the user manual from this site http://www.usa.canon.com/opd/controller?act=OPDSoftwareAct&fcategoryid=2341&modelid=11293 (5010um.pdf). Change the rollers if they are old.

Hi
what size page are you trying to scan, if they are smaller than the gap between the transport rollers, they will not feed.
the single sheet problem you have:- the scanner knows when there is paper to feed when the sensor is pushed up beside the pick roller and it will put the tray down again when the rollers are pushed up. sometimes the little plastic sensor to the left of the roller gets a bit stuck and needs to be freed, it wares itself out where it hinges inside the cover around the pick roller. just unclipping it and cleaning it is usually enough.
good luck.
Testimonial: "It looks like the problem was the plastic sensor mentioned (I put duct tape on it and the machine would then recognize a single page)."
