SOURCE: Forward to voicemail

It depends on what you mean by not set up. Voicemail has specific steps to make it work and it starts with admin access to both the voice mail and phone system. If it is already set up (ie you can call 165 or whatever the VM number is), then what greeting it plays will give you an idea if what needs to be done.

If it plays a general greeting like when you call in from outside, it may be that you just need to add the mailbox for your extension. If it doesn't answer at all, then it's probalby time to call an installer.

SOURCE: Cannot retrieve voicemail

When you press the message button, look at the display. Is it really going to the VM extension or is it going to another phone? Othre people could have left you a message by calling you and pressing the MESSAGE buttone either on purpose, or by accident.

You can clear ALL message lights from your phone by dialing *700 plus your extension and #. Of course you can access VM by dialing the VM extension, usually 165 or 500 from the intercom.

Motorola CD4 cordless phone gives fast busy after a voicemail is left, and that busy gets saved with the voicemail. How can I stop this?

The fast busy signal that you are hearing after a voicemail is left on your Motorola CD4 cordless phone is most likely due to a problem with your voicemail service or your phone line. Here are a few things that you can try to resolve the issue:
  1. Contact your phone service provider: If the fast busy signal is being caused by a problem with your phone line or voicemail service, your phone service provider should be able to help you resolve the issue.
  2. Reset your phone: Try resetting your Motorola CD4 cordless phone to its default settings. You can do this by unplugging the phone's base unit and removing the batteries from the handset. Wait for a few minutes and then reconnect the base unit and reinstall the batteries.
  3. Check your voicemail settings: Make sure that your voicemail settings are configured correctly. Check your phone's user manual to see how to access and adjust your voicemail settings.
  4. Try a different phone: If the problem persists, try using a different phone on the same phone line. If the different phone works properly, the issue is most likely with your Motorola CD4 cordless phone.

How do you reset the voicemail on a landline panasonic kx-t7633?

Jill,

It looks like your extension's voicemail mailbox is not set up. So without the mailbox not being set up, you do not have access to the mailbox. Once the mailbox is created, you should be able to add/change your password. If you are not sure how to create a mailbox, I would check and see if you are able to contact a Panasonic phone tech in the area to take care of your issue.

The PBX administrator has a setting marked in the voicemail properties under your extension number that needs to be changed. Try to dial 0000 next time it calls you.

Voicemail has busy signal.

Most cell phone carriers get directed to another number to access voicemail. I would recommend contacting your carrier, they may be having a problem and they are unaware of.

No issue, just a question. Looking at RCA 25425RE1 4 line business phone system. If all four lines are busy , will the caller of the 5th call get a busy signal or does the phone have "busy no answer...

ANY phone system will have this problem.

If 5 people call in, the first 4 will be answered, but the 5th will get busy, as there are no lines available into your phones voicemail system.

IF, you have voicemail through the phone company, you can get their voicemail feature for extra.

THEN, if 5 people call in, the first 4 go to the phones, and the fifth gets the voicemail greeting.

It would be dependant on the line provider how many calls their voicemail would handle at one time. SO if 500 people call in, 4 get through, and MAYBE 5 go to voicemail, the rest get busy.....

Electra elite IPK Problem

There are several things that could be causing this and it depends on how many conversations (ports) your voicemail can handle.
1. The voicemail ports could all be busy. Dial vociemail when you know nobody is using it. If you can get in then there is nothing wrong except that your voicemail system is busy and you may need more ports.

2. If you are pressing a button on your phone, then the button may be programmed incorrectly. Using the dial pad, manually dial the vociemail and see if you can get in.

3. As a last resort, you can turn the phone system off for 10 seconds and then turn it back on. Do this with caution however and make sure nobody is using the phones. You also run the risk of defaulting the programming on your phone system. If the voicemail ports have locked up, this will clear the locked ports. If this happens again (busy) hopefully it is under warranty as either the voicemail is going bad or is misprogrammed.
