SOURCE: Cnannel scan detects no channels

Kingscott,
Make sure the cable connection from the dish to the tv is
connected to the antenna/cable input and not the digital
input. Turn on the satellite receiver then auto program the
set with the receiver still on. If this fails to lock in channel
3 your suspicion regarding a faulty tuner could be correct.
A good way to check the tuner operation would be to hook
up another product such as a VCR with the rear switch set
for channel 3 and see if you can receive a picture from this
device. If it works the tuner is OK.
You can bypass the tuner by connecting an S-Video cable
and (or) a set of A/V (yellow, red & white) cables from the
output of the satellite receiver to the video 1 input on the tv.
You'll then have to switch the tv source mode to video 1.
Hope this of some help,
Caseybee

SOURCE: LG 32LB9D is not picking up all channels

You must have the tuning band set to Cable not Air. From the video menu choose cable, you may have to options for cable, try both.
Let me know if this helps.

The first question is, how do you connect the Dish Sat to the TV?
If by coax cable, then let the TV scan and find the output channel of the receiver (ie. Channel 3). If you are using HDMI or other Input Input ports, you should be able to skip the auto scan and just choose the corrent input port. If all else fails, hook an antenna or coax cable to the TV and allow Auto Scan to complete its processes. You should then be back normal and can then select the input port.

My Vizio LCD HDTV isn't pickup up all of the cable channels, but my other older TVs are?

Did you retry a working TV again on the same input, as it looks like a case of loose contacts in the RC Jack, cable or connectors or some strands of the cable touching the ground. Then check whether your Vizio TV supports the system/format of the cable. If your cable is licensed to be used only with the other TVs, like sensing the identity of the PC used, it could also be a problem

I have an AVol TV and need the Dish Network remote control codes

Hi, my name is Cheri Torres and I am with DISH Network Customer Service. I tried looking up all of our possible remote codes and I was not able to locate any codes for an AVol TV. Instead of using codes to address your DISH remote to your TV you will need to try a power scan. A power scan will normally find the code that works best for your TV for you. I will list here for you the instructions for performing a power scan. I hope you find this information useful. :)

Instructions for performing a power scan
  1. Turn the Television On.
  2. Press and hold the TV mode button until all mode lights light up red.
  3. Press and release the big red power button once.
  4. Press and release the channel Up Arrow on the remote until the television turns off.
  5. After the television turns off, press and release the pound(#) button once.
  6. Test functionality with the TV.
  7. Return to Step 2 if the remote is not able to turn the TV On/Off, change the volume and mute the television.

Hey murphypat321,

Sounds like the TV may need to be on ch 73 cable rather than 60 air. Try switching the TV to 73, if it goes to 69 then put back on 60, if goes to 73 good. Once you have that set go to your TV1 and bring up the menu. Go to System Setup (6) -> Installation (1) -> Modulator Setup (5) and change the TV2 setup to either cable if on 73 or air if on 60 and the picture should come in if everything's hooked up.

Hope that helped! You can email me at [email protected] if the problem persists.
