Basically the white dot is a dead pixel, this is common with LCD screens. You have nothing much to worry about unless the screen develops more dead pixels which could lead to a screen replacement although its highly unlikely.
HI, Are you sure that there is balck dot on the sreen. Check one more time is it any dust on the screen. Black spot Means pixel of the Lcd sreen is fault. There are thousands of pixels in an lcd screen. when any of the pixel or a group of pixels become faulty the black spot will appear. sound like you have a bad dlp chip. this happens to a lot of samsung dlp tvs. some of the mirrors are stuck. they can appear as black dots or white dots and it usually gets worse over time.
This is likely due to Hardware Failure. Your GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) has likely overheated to the extent of artifacting which is when the device begins to have trouble rendering objects and images and crashes constantly. The only viable solution is to send it in if you still have warranty, Otherwise, you'll have to either buy a new Xbox 360 or send it in for repairs from microsoft.
