Connect iPad mini to computer with USB cable, and iTunes will launch automatically. If not, you should manually start iTunes.
iTunes will recognize iPhone and display the iPad icon at the upper left corner. Click the iPad icon.
The control panel of iPhone appears after you click the iPad icon. Click Summary in the panel.

Do you live in the United States? If you do then you can download them again for free - as long as the movies are available for free downloads. Apple has not forged agreements with every movie studio yet so you just have to check.
Launch iTunes, and tap on the purchased tab. In the upper left corner you will see a "View" button. Tap that in order to toggle among music, TV Shows and Movies. Select Movies and then see if the movies appear. If they do, tap the Movie icon and then tap the cloud icon next to the icon in order to begin the download.
You have to use the same Apple ID that you used to purchase them.
If you do not live in the U.S. then you will have to purchase them again.
Hi Joan, Things like iPad don't come with a detailed user manual as to how to use each and every function of them. They are intuitive and you can learn only by using the device. However for most basic operations, they can have a user manual either online or offline. Try searching for iPad user manual online.
