KM-F650 fax machine only printing part of fax

The fax machine seems to intermittently print only part of a fax that is sent to it. I have never experienced this problem first hand as the fax machine is in one of our branch offices. The employees at that office claim that sometimes they won't even receive a fax that has been sent to them. I'm not sure where to start on fixing this issue. What are your thoughts on this?

I believe the fax line is a VOIP line, if that makes sense. I found out someone else in our office was having the same problem, and a firmware upgrade on the router took care of it. They are going to upgrade the firmware on the router at that office and see if the problem persists.

I don't believe there is anything wrong with your fax machine. I think the receiving party may have a DIGITAL phone line.

If you can make a full copy with your machine then, your machine is OK.

Unfortunately, Voice Over Internet Protocol...VOIP is Digital.

Fax machines are being killed every day by Digital. As a fax machine technician, i'm becoming a dinosaur.

The alternative is Scan to email, which is the future.

    Good luck, tho.

How do you print on legal paper from memory?

You have sent a fax? Or you have received a fax.
If you have sent it, it's gone and can't be printed.
If you have received it, then you obviously have to put legal paper in the tray, and program the paper size in your system settings to tell the machine it is Legal paper in the tray. However, once again, if it has already printed the fax (likely on 2 pages) then it's gone from memory and can't be re-printed.

We have a Panasonic Panafax UF-790

It could be a refilled Kyocera KM-F650 cartridge in a Panasonic UG-5510 box.

They look identical, but are configured differently.

You need to try another cartridge as it appears it is not a machine problem.

Not sure if faxes have been sent successfully how can i tell?

I am not technically qualified for faxes but most fax machines i have used have a setting that allows you to have a receipt that prints off after you have sent one, this is something that can be turned off if not wanted, look in the manual and it will tell you how to reset it, i think it was called "polling" after a fax has been sent it prints off this little bit that says what time it was sent how many copies and time received, fax number it was sent to and sometimes company name etc some machines i have seen and used have a poll button after you have sent your fax, try just pressing it, it may print out a conformation receipt of the last ten faxes sent hope i have helped, if so rate me please
