I recommend pulling the battery from it every night before going to bed. Wait appx 30 seconds, then put the battery back on. Phones can sometimes get stuck on a tower as you move around town. Doing this will refresh the signal and tower. Pull the battery while the phone is on.

Have you used the external antenna port? If this is damaged it renders phone useless. Somehow connected to main antenna.

Get ur phone a firmware update..... it is done in motorola service centers for free,,,,,

change your signal recever by giving it in a service center

Motorola phones cannot be formatted like nokia. Please reload the flash / software from a motorola authorized service centre

I had the same problem with my phone- i got a cheap generic battery to replace the old one (which wasn't holding a charge for a full day, at that) and then i lost all signal, basically. I tried what scm_pa said he did - charged my old battery up, with the phone off, till the charge was complete- turned the phone on, and voila, reception!
