How to find fuse

If it keeps blowing a fuse then there is something that is causing the current spike blowing the fuse. I would run a full diagnostic or ask a qualified electrician. Something else is most likely blown and replacing a fuse would probably just feed the problem.

Cause 1
If too much current passes through the microwave circuitry, the line fuse will blow. If the line fuse blows, the microwave won’t start. To determine if the line fuse is at fault, use a multimeter to test it for continuity. If the fuse does not have continuity, replace it. In addition, you should investigate and resolve the problem that caused the fuse to blow. If you don’t resolve the underlying issue, the new fuse will blow too

Main Control Board

The main control board might be defective. However, this is rarely the case. Control boards are often misdiagnosed—check all of the more commonly defective parts. If you have determined that all of the other components are working properly,replace the main control board.

Cause 3

Thermal Fuse

The thermal fuse cuts off power to the microwave if the microwave overheats. To determine if the thermal fuse has blown, use a multimeter to test it for continuity. If the fuse does not have continuity, replace it. The thermal fuse cannot be reset—if the fuse is blown, it must be replaced.

Since its a electrical isue cal a liscenced professiona to resolve the issue . Your microwave oven isnt at fault . I belive the supplay to it has issue and would have blown anyway.

Fuse holders sometimes become weak due to heating. If the fuse is not held very tightly by the holder, the fuse will blow because it gets hot, not because the current exceeds the fuse's rating. If this is the case, replacing the fuse holder would be in order. This is not to be confused with the situation where the fuse blows when the door is opened or closed. In that case it's a door switch sequencing issue, or a bad switch.

If you know that a fuse is open, you need to find out why it went out before replacing it. There are typically three fuses in any given microwave oven. Line or monitor fuse, cavity temp fuse and magnetron temp fuse.

To check the fuse in the JMC7000adw you first should remove the power cord from the power source. Then remove the screws holding the outside cover of the microwave . The High Voltage circuitry may hold a residual charge that could be lethal so use appropriate care when near the High Voltage circuitry. The fuse holder is a plastic inline clamshell type that must be opened carefully with the fingers or pried open. The fuse holder is located above the micro-switches near the internal light socket. The fuse plugs into contacts soldered onto wires so carefully pull the contacts off each end of the fuse being careful not to get cut if the fuse breaks. Sometimes the blown fuse might come apart so you will need to force the fuse ends out of the contact using a small screwdriver or other small instrument that will fit into the end of the metal fuse contacts. After replacing the fuse with the appropriate size I suggest you might wish to see if the fuse blows again before reinstalling the cover. Most likely the fuse blows because of an overload in the circuitry or a short in the safety micro switches as noted in other posted solutions. These micro switches seem to be underrated for the current they may be carrying and the contacts will weld themselves together or intermittently stick together causing the fuse to blow as noted in my previous posting.

the modern microwaves has 2 fuses lines fuse+thermal fuse. You must see the diagram or instr. manual section troubleshooting for indication for specification of fuses. Lines fuses has 240vac and 20amps. Thermal fuses you must see the instr. manual

Check if there is electric power on wall outlet.

If the microwave plug has fuse,check if it has not burnt.if these are okay there is need to take the last step.

1. Unplug the microwave from the electrical outlet to prevent electrocution. Place the microwave in a well-lit area to be able to locate the fuse.

2. Use a screwdriver to remove the outer cabinet of the microwave, and follow the power cord to the fuse. The fuse is located 2 to 3 inches within the microwave and is attached to the power board.

3. Observe the fuse to determine if it is blown. Blown glass fuses will produce burn marks on nearby surfaces, or the internal fuse wire will be black and melted, while ceramic fuses show no outward appearance of being blown.

4. Determine if a ceramic fuse is blown by testing it with an ohmmeter. If the ohmmeter reads zero ohms, your fuse is not blown. Other readings on the ohmmeter show that your fuse is blown.
5. Replace the blown fuse by popping it out of its holder, and snapping a new fuse in its place. Tighten the fuse clips by squeezing them together with your fingers.

6. Replace the outer cabinet of the microwave, and plug the microwave back into the electrical outlet. Test the microwave to see if it's working properly.

The information on the fuse is the maximum rating. The holder may not match the rating.

The 'A' is the very important part of the size. You will need a 15 Amp fuse. The best fuse to use is 'ceramic'. You can find them at Radio Shack in the back of the store there are drawers with electrical parts.

Replacing a fuse Locate your fuse. Most microwave fuses look like the one pictured to the left. They are usually an inch or two long. Each end is metallic and the center is either ceramic or glass.
To get to the fuse, remove the outer cabinet of the unit, which is usually held in place with a few screws. Once the outer cabinet is removed, follow the power cord into the unit. It will take you to the fuse holder, where the fuse sits. The fuse holder is located two or three inches into the unit, and may be attached to a power board.
Decide if your fuse is blown. A blown glass fuse will produce flash burn marks on nearby surfaces, or it will be completely black on the inside. The internal fuse wire (filament) will be melted and blackened. Ceramic fuses give no outward signs of having blown. To determine if a ceramic fuse is blown, test it with an ohmmeter. If the ohmmeter reads zero ohms, your fuse is fine. A reading of infinite ohms means your fuse is blown.
Replace the blown fuse. Pop it out of its holder and snap in a new one. You can squeeze the fuse clips together with your fingers in order to tighten their grip. Replace the unit's outer cabinet, plug it back in, and test to see if it is running properly. DO NOT run the microwave with nothing in it.
NOTE: Fuses do not usually blow on their own. A fuse may blow because of problems with the interlock switches or with high voltage circuitry. It is also possible, though rare, that a power surge will cause a fuse to blow.

I'm confused! You say you cannot read? OR, You cannot read the fuse. Remember on fuses, voltage rating is as important as amps. What is the make and model? is there a diagram of the wiring inside? get someone to read the amps (fuse) to you.
Note: Most common is a 15amp (for M/W Oven). Can be purchased at most Hardware Stores.
CAUTION!! Do not over-rate or under-rate the fuse. If it blows with the correct fuse in it Do Not put in a higher amperage fuse!! Can everyone say FIRE!!
