DMD or DLP chip has died. Can be replaced by user if you have electronics experience equivalent to building or servicing desktop computers. Just replaced mine this week, actually. Good as new now. The part or chip number is on the chip itself. Once you have that number, you can usually find replacements on eBay for roughly $200. Kinda pricey, but way less than a new unit. I looked at some forums but found no listed DMD chip numbers for your projector:(. Hope this helps!

Vivtek d510 projector has black and white spots covering 1/3 of projected image

The DLP Chip is failing .The DLP or Digital Light Projection Chip contains up to 8 million tiny microscopic mirrors that tilt to project a digital image onto the screen. These mirrors are failing causing light and dark spots to appear.Unfortunately fixing this projector is probably going to cost more than buying a new one. Hope this helps.

Suddenly, benq mx511 has white pixels showing up....multiplying every day...now the projected image consists of 50% snow.

It probably has the same DLP chip as my Mitsubishi television. The mirrors in the chip set get stuck and create the white spots. There is no way to fix this other than replacing the DLP chip.

White dots on my mitsubishi WD-73734 tv screen

Your tv is a DLP projection one. In it the image is generated by projecting light on a chip that is covered in tiny mirrors that reflect more or less the light towards the screen. In your case some of those tiny mirrors are no longer controlled - they are immobile and reflect fully the light so you get a white spot on the screen.
The DMD chip that holds the mirrors is dying and you will have to replace it. This is the only place i could find that claims to have it on stock. You can also go thru Ebay, in there you will find second-hand ones extracted from defective tv's.
It's installation is strictly a job for a person with great tv repair experience - too many thins can go wrong in there if the job is not done properly.

Tiny white spots show when viewing anything. they have increased in number

If they are rectangular in shape then they are pixel failures. It will only get worse, as time goes on. The single chip DMD will have to be replaced, or the whole optics unit as a drop in replacement.

White spots on images

Does the camer have a removable lens. Is it an SLR camera. If so, there probably is microscopic dust on your sensor, or you have some dead pixels on your sensor. If you can get to the sensor, you can easily clean it with a cleaning kit. The most effective way of cleaning is to blow it off with clean air. Be gentle. On an SLR it is necessary to lock the mirror up. Your instruction book will explain how to do that. For more suggestions, Google cleaning my camera sensor and you will get a lot of suggestions. :-)

White spots

You seem to have an issue either with the video board or the dmd board, do the next thing, with the Tv on go to your service menu, is the white spots are still there, it's most probable that your dmd board is failing, if not, the issue is with your video board.
